A few years ago I was living in an apartment building and my neighbor (idiot) downstairs was listening to the weather network with his big speakers and sub-woofers on. I remember being woken up in the middle of the night with that song!
I think they changed it lately; I remember they asked people to vote on the website.
I remember that day and this is me "Thats the same fucking music they use all thetime WHAT IF IT WAS A TORNADO?!?!? they would still have that music it's just like its saying stay calm the tornado will sweep you up and kill you a very painful and horribly death:)"
They totally block the temperature readings and graphs from our sight, and now one of the most beautiful TWN theme songs doesn't at all go well with the "Red Screen of Disaster". : (
Ontario has counties, regions and townships. The other provinces vary. Some have districts, rural municipalities (similar to counties) or something else. Quebec has townships and regional counties.
All Channel alert was supposed to be launched in Fall 2006. I actually saw it while watching CBC manitoba during the Elie tornnado ( I have satelite). it was just scrolling information on the bottom of the screen and the beeps werent as annoying as in the USA. Unless CBC has there own thing.
This is great. I've been wondering what the Canadian alerts are like. I heard that Canada is still developing a national alert system, similar to the EAS, but I believe Alberta already has something similar in place.

It would be so cool if somebody made something like the TWN-classics or the TWN-today that would be sweet

It's probably CBC, ACA isnt up yet since the units need a warning tone, something the PMX units do not have currently.

Alberta already has the Emergency Public Warning System. They created it after the 1987 Edmonton Tornado.
