I actually prefer it being an all new cast, honestly. And the setting took me aback at first, but it actually makes sense, the rate of technological growth as compared to the time frame seems righty. The only thing I hope is that they do good on this one, and I have a new Avatar series to enjoy.

Wow... so IF I'm right, Zuko and Aang did a really good job of unifying the nations together!
Because, if Mako and Bolin are genetically brothers, then that just comes to show how much the world of Avatar really came to :D and that's a good thing!

aang was not 50, he was alive for over a hundred years, it doesn't matter if he was frozen or not, he was still alive for over a hundred years, so he was probably like 150 when he died. oh, and this sereis takes place 80 years after the original series, they said it at comic con, and on the last airbender wikipedia!
Looking awesome.... I just dislike the almost modern look that are appearing more and more..... I really hope its more steampunk/industrial rather than China town in a metropolitan build up.....

I think they should have just kept the series going after anng beat firelord ozia they should have just shown him training and mastering all the elements and keeping balence in the world and I wanted to see how anng died

I really hope they havent done the same thing they did to Robotech though.... killing off ALL of the major and minor charecters. It was still good, but it felt lacking. Still very excited for this :)

@BunnyWithAnAk47 ang is obviously dead or else korra wouldn't be alive. and zuko's mom was banished from the fire nation. in order for zuko's dad to become fire lord he needed to no what it would feel like to lose a son like his brother did. but they all worked out a situation where instead of his only son, zuko having to be killed, they just banished zuko's mom.

Summer 2012: I will FINALLY find out. I'm 18 now, I have a feeling that I'd be too old to appreciate this series like I did the original. :l I hope not. There's few things I watch intensely. Degrassi, Hey Arnold (if they ever decide to continue....) and Avatar. I've seen every episode of those 3 up to date. I've finished other series but I'm not as avid.
I can't wait till Korra goes into the avatar state and talks to Aang. That could be quite epic- I can just imagine Aang going off yelling at her with his squeaky voice: "And how come you left learning air-bending for last!!!??? Do you know how awesome it is!? Don't you WANT to fly!?" LOL!!!

@HeroHunter15 The only one that's probably still alive is Katara. There was some spoilers that were leaked of Katara still being alive. She said Sokka and many of her friends had passed, so I think that means Zuko, Toph, and Suki. Sorry it makes me sad too.

Okay, in that leaked footage everyone is going on about, (elderly) Katara said "my brother and so many of my friends are gone". So that doesn't necessarily mean that he's -dead-. He could be (and I personally think he is, as painful as that is to admit :C), but we just don't know for certain yet. Chill out, peeps. :L
Oooohh can't wait, it looks much more mature that the original, which is awesome, because it's pretty clear that despite being a cartoon a lot of the audience weren't children - I'm so glad they took that into account. As it is I bet a lot of people is already shipping Korra/Mako, It's gonna be Zutara all over again. And that's just AWESOME! :)
The Lion Turtle teaches Aang to do Energy Bending and he is the only one who knows it. Did Aang passed the Energy Bending to his son, Tenzin or even to someone else to teach it also to Korra or will Korra also learn it to the Lion Turtle to defeat the Equalist?

The trailer looks good, BUT I wanted to see a continuation where Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Toph, etc are ADULTS and fight a new villian! T_T After the adult versions win, they could have babies and live happily ever after, until their kids grow up fight a new enemy and save the World...=D... I CAN'T be the only person who was hoping to see our favorite Avatar characters as adults in even more epic fights...am I right? ;D
@animefan462 We don't know much about Zuko. But, I'm 99.99% positive he married Mai and I think they had a kid. Bryan and Mike said that the question of whether Zuko found Ursa was going to be answered in some sort of way, but not necessarily in The Legend of Korra. There is a graphic novel series coming out this year (it will be 3 books in all) of all the events that happened after the show ended. It's kind of to tie loose strings, so maybe the question of Zuko's mom will pop up?

I can't wait till Korra goes into the avatar state and talks to Aang. That could be quite epic- I can just imagine Aang going off yelling at her with his squeaky voice: "And how come you left learning air-bending for last!!!??? Do you know how awesome it is!? Don't you WANT to fly!?" LOL!!!

@HeroHunter15 The only one that's probably still alive is Katara. There was some spoilers that were leaked of Katara still being alive. She said Sokka and many of her friends had passed, so I think that means Zuko, Toph, and Suki. Sorry it makes me sad too.

@MsDigitalChocolate By this point in the story Zukos Father must be dead. Remember this take place 70 years later meaning the main characters that we felt in love are or must of then are gone. Just and may be we will see memories of them about what they did.

Okay, in that leaked footage everyone is going on about, (elderly) Katara said "my brother and so many of my friends are gone". So that doesn't necessarily mean that he's -dead-. He could be (and I personally think he is, as painful as that is to admit :C), but we just don't know for certain yet. Chill out, peeps. :L

Oooohh can't wait, it looks much more mature that the original, which is awesome, because it's pretty clear that despite being a cartoon a lot of the audience weren't children - I'm so glad they took that into account. As it is I bet a lot of people is already shipping Korra/Mako, It's gonna be Zutara all over again. And that's just AWESOME! :)

The Lion Turtle teaches Aang to do Energy Bending and he is the only one who knows it. Did Aang passed the Energy Bending to his son, Tenzin or even to someone else to teach it also to Korra or will Korra also learn it to the Lion Turtle to defeat the Equalist?

@12pussylicka He just age like normal people do. But Aang died early because of the result of a long-term side-effect due to the one hundred years he spent frozen in the iceberg while in the Avatar State.

The trailer looks good, BUT I wanted to see a continuation where Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Toph, etc are ADULTS and fight a new villian! T_T After the adult versions win, they could have babies and live happily ever after, until their kids grow up fight a new enemy and save the World...=D... I CAN'T be the only person who was hoping to see our favorite Avatar characters as adults in even more epic fights...am I right? ;D

@animefan462 We don't know much about Zuko. But, I'm 99.99% positive he married Mai and I think they had a kid. Bryan and Mike said that the question of whether Zuko found Ursa was going to be answered in some sort of way, but not necessarily in The Legend of Korra. There is a graphic novel series coming out this year (it will be 3 books in all) of all the events that happened after the show ended. It's kind of to tie loose strings, so maybe the question of Zuko's mom will pop up?

We get to see Aang as an old man in spirit form, the guy who voiced Sokka is either Mako or Bolin (can't remember), the guy who voiced Zuko is going to be voicing someone else that is related to Zuko (I'm guessing grandson?), KATARA IS ALIVE, oh, and who can forget the fact that Toph has a daughter?
