  • my nes game wont come out of the console, how do u remove it do i try to lift it out or do i press down and it pops out???? netiher is working lol i jsut got it HELP!!!

  • I just pulled my two NES Consoles out and they work just fine! Only method that worked for me was blowing in the games and system! (Been in a box for 10+ years!)

  • Dr Mario X,x :D

  • Blowing works for me (at least on the snes). I don't spit while doing it.

  • Nice !! Thank you !! i've been trying for hours

  • those cleaning things must be as rare as finding a real fully working game sysytem from the late 70's!

  • Thumbs up if you typed "Intermittency" in a spell checker and it was wrong -_-

  • Blow method 4 lyfe

  • Great method.....not none of these work waste of time dude

  • Despite what the game paks says, cleaning with isopropanol or some kind of alcohol is the way to go. Wiggle it most likely damages both the game and the console. -.-

  • wut is.........BLOW ME...not me

  • I hope that Xbox thing was a joke. Because I beg to differ.

  • the 5th method wont work if ur using the top loader

  • I am the NES jedi watch my channel to get all your games to work

  • CougerleonII watch my video my method works

  • Yelling "WORK GODDAMMIT!!!" doesn't work either.

  • Cute video for a method that works 50% of the time I have found a method that works 99% of the time click on my channel to view this video it was just posted this weekend . No bull it works plz comment let me know what you think ! Thanks game on

  • @HookinBassOH28 I think it's just the old blow trick. Even though you don't spit, the air from your lungs are still humid.

  • why in the hell would you need an nes in your kitchen?

  • She don't spit or swallow??

  • And now for a real way to clean the game. A pink rubber eraser. Most of the issues you fix through wiggling the game are bad contact issues. There is electricity going through this so it causes very minor arcs between the contacts inside the NES and the game cartridge, which causes carbon build-up. A pink rubber eraser is one of the most reliable ways of removing that carbon build up without damaging the game. ...cleaning the NES internal contacts though is a PITA.

  • Obligatory fun: 'Blow Me' cartridge t-shirts always are pretty hilarious :)

The top-loader was a lot less hassle to deal with, but I sadly never got to use one. Already had moved on to the original PS1 console by then.

You should teach all the other 'gamer gurlz' how to actually do interesting and fun videos that are awesome to watch without having to resort to the 'HEY I'M A GURL PAY ATTENTION TO MEH!' stuff they seem to want to do. I'm very glad you don't do that, kudos! :)

  • Your Awesome!!! my brother and i try and try and didnt work but the last tecnique of wiggleing the game work perfect he said IS SHE A MASTER OR WHAT? thanks!!!

  • Omg thank you I can actually play my old NES now it really works

  • ilove you Rinry!! :3

  • @rinrygamegame are you the cute girl on this video? =D

  • The NES Game Genie is known to wreck pin connectors too.

  • Not sure if you'll read this or not, but, thanks a ton for that tip. I had a hard time getting the one my dad brought home to work right, but that wiggle it advice made it so it worked - even more wiggling got it so it worked flawlessly.

  • My grandma did #3 and showed me how to do it.

  • Been doing a mix of 3 and 5 all my life. Works like a charm on my end.

  • I wiggle the game in the NES, and it takes a while. It's also kinda inconsistent. It's odd cause the guy at the store used alcohol and a q-tip and it worked, after he hooked it up with that RF cable or whatever, but when I took it home and hooked it up with RCA, it didn't work. I doubt it's the connection...It's probably the game or the needles. But still, why the heck did it work when he cleaned it?? He popped it in ONCE and it worked without wiggling, but when I clean it, it takes some tries.

  • Bullshit. Blowing on cart connector DOES help!!! Its prooven 1000000 times. And not only NES carts is bad at that. Also MasterSystem and Genesis. And even SNES sometimes. Just BLOW the f..g thing and it goes!!! Thats it. Simple.

  • the only really well working way is cleaning the pads with CRC or other contact cleaner.

And it should be also added to the connector inside the console. After that it'll work with no problems for very very long time. (last time i cleaned my own ones was about 4 years ago and still no problems.). :)

  • i wants a pants that say "blow me"

  • i gotta use this

  • I remember when I used my NES where it would blink on and off but the game title was not garbled and I would have to do all these methods to get it to work.

Then 4 years ago I read online about disabling the lockout chip and it does work. No more blinking at random. I wish I would have known that back in the 90's. But I now use emulators on the pc instead..

The method requires opening the NES and breaking the 4th pin off the NES lockout chip.

You can google this for links on the how to.

  • Actually, you can just press the reset button for half a second to make a game work :/

  • also just put windex on a cuetip works and doesnt hurt

  • the 360 does work after 8 months of gaming have one working since 2005 launch never sent back in to be fixed and never has had to be fixed

  • i recently bought an nes- by recently, i mean 5 minutes ago. if your not just bullshiting, i think this will really help. thanks.

  • @robmckrillable

    Trust me it DOES WORK!

  • @robmckrillable and as i told to everyone, you really should clean the connectors with crc or other contact cleaner spray.

  • This is cool and all but... WHAT ABOUT GENESIS?!?!

  • @vinny139 clean connectors with crc or other contact cleaner :)

  • @jarnoob Ok cause I have sonic and knuckles and no matter how hard I try I cant play it I get the sega enterprises info yay but I dont see sonic and knuckles shortly after like I should, all the contactors look good but I hope the games not fried

  • Book of Mormon picture? Winning indeed.

  • You are so cute! And I love this video!

  • Damn girl, u are sweet... blow me?

  • I love you

  • I've done all of those at least once.

But normally I use the Q-Tips+Cleaner (Windex, Green Works, ect.), that seems to work fine.

  • MORMON?

  • actually that technique would work but its not fixing the problem completely and might damage the game over time. if you really want to get your games working (this is the most extreme way)

buy a 3.8 nintendo security bit

    open the game up

buy the finest #0000 steal wool

use alcohol or windex and put some on the wool

scrub your brass nes teeth (both sides)

wipe it off with windex and use a paint brush to get any that might be on the chip its self. this will make it work like new again.

  • I don't know this will work for most people, but after I disabled the lockout chip in my NES, I found that sliding the cartridge in as far to the left as possible works every time, with every game.

I don't know if this works with the lockout chip enabled.

  • i put a toy car i to force the game down. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt

  • i think bullying the game cartridge works best for me

  • FIND THE G-SPOT!!

  • Had me laughing and remembering my frustrations as a kid! ..btw, if you're feeling adventurous and nerdy enough to take apart your old NES, cut pin 4 on the "3193A" chip. This is the #1 best fix for the dreaded flash. =)

  • GuitarAudiologist is right. the 3193A chip is the regional lockout chip and disconecting the 4th pin will solve most blinking light problems. Now for the loading/garbage on screen, using a q-tip with alcohol will solve a lot of problems too, and when that doesn't work it means your zif socket inside is on the fritz and needs to be replaced. It's cheap and easy to replace. You can also fix it trying to pull the contacts out a bit. You won't even need to push the cart down after that!

  • Clean the game and connector it will work fine after.

  • This works cause youre actually rubbing the terminals together and cleaning it. Not only does the cartridge have to be clean, but the terminals inside the slot.

  • Get ready... to Wiggle! Wiggle your fingers high in the sky!

  • Or.....lol....we could just change the 72 pin....I could be wrong but...=)

  • THANK YOU

  • yeah u tell me somthing I know for like whole my life xD

  • i am dr mario and i am saving lives lol

  • amazon DOT com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_6?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=nes+72+pin+connector&x=0&y=0&sprefix=nes+72 72 pin connectors and here is the super 8 ebay DOT com/sch/i.html?_nkw=super+8+converter if you are classic console gamer, you should own one or both of these instead writing the 'DOT" just use a period

  • there are some way better solutions: get a replacement for the 72 pin connector(check amazon and ebay for your side loader NES, shouldnt be more than 10 bucks. or get the super 8 converter. lets a snes play nes 8 bit games as well as super famicom games(without having to bend back the tips by your snes pin connector).

  • You, dear lady, are a VERY cute girl! :3

  • @Onryo25 So cute, she is like the look of Real Life Green from Pokemon Adventure.

  • Comment removed

  • so this helped me to get super mario working but now i have a whole new problem- the words are like wacked out on my game? things like SCORE or TIME are spelt like D7L3 or something dumb like that. what is that all about? any solutions?

  • Can You Please Do A Video On How To Make N64 Games Work? Donkey Kong 64 Doesnt Work For Me and I'm Really Bummed, :)

  • After the cleaner apply some lite toothpaste to a q-tip and wipe the pins with it. Get both sides, you are going to see alot of green and black gunck that the alcohol did not get. Make sure to get all the toothpaste off then clean with alcohol again. For added protection from dirt and oxidation in the future I apply a very small amount of vasiline to the pins after the cleaning. Works every time. Good Luck.

  • @lestergoods

Personally, I've found Brasso to be an excellent heavy duty cleaner before using alcohol to clean off the residue.

  • Wiggling it doesnt work for my nes

  • New Game is coming name Assault 1962 .coming on 1/9/2012. go to Assault-Game.webs.com

  • Actualy blowing in the cartridge works And the spit thing... l2 swallow your spit before blowing. Worked every time. same with the bullying it. up untill my NES was stolen and all 20+ games were stolen and another 20+ destroyed in the Tornado in Joplin... Well I can't say destroyed because we never found them... But the probably still work.

  • @Wolfstanus You were in the Joplin tornado? My apologies man, I live near there.

  • @toiletandtoilet I wasn't but alot of family was... I have pictures they sent. Theres alos a picture of them on some youtube videos. Look for a sign saying "Extreme Home Makover" when you see slide show videos. Its my grannies house... Well was.

  • Comment removed

  • I like your voice.

  • I would rather get a Top Loader NES The problem is with the Model 1 NES is that the pins can creep forwards.

  • WOW now I think I wanna take a trip to Gam Heaven :D drop 50 bucks for an NES

  • you are amazing this totally works

  • Informative and entertaining video! Too bad Youtube didn't exist back when I played NES. Also, I can't help but love your accent! Subscribed.

  • That "bullying" technique works! All you got to do is push it down before it all the way in.

  • Holy crap. this actually works!!

  • alcohol was the best method

  • Well the best way to get a game to work was to put it in as you usually would and than you place your index fingers on the corners and just move the game back and forth a few times, essentially getting the pins locked in properly. This is by far the best method. Trust me.

  • *sigh* how did i never think of this? well done video! worked beautifully!

  • i wish there was a love button, finally i got my games to work!

  • The 3rd one is what i do

  • i have a top loader

  • @christian661199 Me too. I got mine a couple of weeks ago.

  • Blew a lot of them got a head rush

  • Wow, I remember doing almost every single one of these. Never did the cleaning one though.

  • i like your vids but you could always just change the pin connecter they pretty cheap and easy to change

  • Well done tutorial!! Nice and clear narration with easy to read captions. very fun to watch. I'd like that all tutorials were this fun and easy to watch. BTW, it did help me with my NES. So thanx a bunch!!!!

  • I have an nes 2 i dont have to worry about this :p

  • she is cute, I like her

  • You are obviously young. Shifting the position of the game while its inside the NES does work, but it's NOT the best way. When I was a kid, I used the 2 games trick. It worked for me. The thing was that some games would work if you held them down inside the nes but not if you let them up into the regular position. So, to hold them in position and to free up your hands, you'd use another game to hold it in place.

  • @jerrod24 The absolute BEST way to get NES games to work is to CLEAN THEM. Dirt gets on the connectors and interferes with the data transfer. Alcohol and Q-tips work best for me. Using this method, I encounter ZERO software malfunction, but be careful. Use only enough alcohol to wet the Q-tip.

Lastly, blowing your NES games is one of the WORST things you can do to them.

  • Man, kids today have it so lucky being able to find NES tricks like this on the internet. ...They still play NES, right?

  • blowing in the catridge works for me... :D

  • It worked! I can finally play Cobra Triangle again!

  • by your pronunciation of out i assume you're canadian

  • @thepranqster1 The make of this video is. They live within 100 miles of me.

  • @thedarkone2134 wow, id go meet rinry if i were you

  • @thepranqster1 It's interesting as she's the only poplar youtuber from the province I've ever seen on here.

I used to live in the same city and i go to the same game store mentioned in some videos of her's all the time.

  • I remember calling the Nintendo Hotline and they told me to do exactly this. All my friends asked me to fix their games for them with this. SUPER 80s POPULARITY.

  • @robobrow lol

  • The reason I remember why blowing on the cartridge has been known to work is because when you blow in them, what you're actually doing is fogging up the connectors, giving them more conducting ability. Fogging= basically wetting the connectors a tiny bit. The connectors in the system and the cart have a better chance at transferring game data. Not a proven fact, but that's what I remember growing up on. ;p

  • Wow it worked thanks

  • hello can i use rubbing alcohol to clean the pins on the nes system it's self

  • Comment removed

  • @75edainsworth It's not recommended. Buy a new 72 Pin connector. There like $5 on eBay.

  • Comment removed

  • What? Don't blow in them??! BLASPHEMY!!

  • the two game trick worked for me :)

  • The guru at my local used game store always cleans the cartridges with alcohol, and when that doesn't work he uses lighter fluid, and that has yet to fail me.

  • All of this except blowing to clean the cartridges is the WRONG way of cleaning them!!!! Half them will ruin the NES and the cartridge!!!! I don't know and I don't care if this is a gag video but, you don't EVER wreck a NES!!!! EVER! If you want to play a NES game without hassle, download an emulator!

  • THANK YOU!!!!!! Now I don't have to take my console apart or get a new NES. However, it's hard to do this trick on a tengen game..........

  • Blowing it was still need for the super nintendo. and some of the applications were needed as well. One other thing was coins like penies or dimes on the power button and cartidge.

  • Number 3 for life!!! If you do it enough times, it'll work. I'll try your way tho. At of all the previous ones tho, number 3 always worked with persistence.

  • tHE WIGGLE DID NOT WORK FOR ME...........BUT BLOWING THROUGH A SHIRT DID (THEN 30 SECOND LATER FROZE :-(....SEEM LIKE ALL NES ARE A BIT DIFFERENT....TRY BLOW ME WITH PROTECTION MIGHT WORK...LOL

  • You guys have to do something on creepypasta :D

  • I LOVE YOU THIS VIDEO WOKED :D

  • thank god my cart of life force wouldn't work with konami code on the fc twin we tried everything to make it work you method of making it work in the nes work thank you rinry <3 =)

  • why would you want to play Dr Mario?

  • I have a better technique: Cutting the 4th pin on the lockout chip :D

  • I remember a lot of times. I would spit on it after blowing on it; it worked every time.

  • Blowing in the game does work sometimes. The reason why it works is because when you blow in the cartridge, you're removing dust from it. Dust in the cartridge or in the console (even in modest quantities) can prevent the game from making a solid connection with the NES. But of course, this will only work when dust happens to be the problem. lol. The toploading NES however, had a most awesome dust guard.

  • #2 worked for me first time, but wont now

  • #1 works for mine all the time. and so does blowing it and pressing restart. all of them work if you just keep trying it.

  • Weird, when I blow my friend's DS cart and DS, it works after. So blowing does work.

  • Fun video! Hope this works.

  • i would like to say i would

  • Wiggling worked... i feel dumb for not trying it earlier.

  • Just tell us what works!!!, FUCK ALL THIS POINTLESS BULLSHIT!!!!

  • a very useful trick i use was

blow it wiggle it and then put a yugioh card that u slide in:P

  • @xSAxJkkool u slide the card in the top like over the cover art

  • You're little tricks are okay, but the #1 Reason they don't work is because the Nes itself. The solution? Replace the 72 Pin Connector (That's the part inside the nes where the it reads the game) These connectors were cheaply made and wear out over time, Go on E-bay find a new one, print out a guide and replace! I did it and I never had a problem with my Nes.

  • Keep em clean.

  • You forgot licking it.

  • Reminds me of that old rap song XD "Wiggle it, just a little bit." XP

  • Blowing on my NES cartridges is how I got all my games to work

  • not "inferior methods" -- in my experience just standard methods. anyway, the wiggle doesn't always work. it's really not the "all time greatest secret" (secret? really?) My all time greatest PROBLEM is not getting it to work (zelda please please work!!) but making it through the game without it getting fuzzy and eventually crashing. the wiggle does nothing for me. Ha ha ha, good video though!

  • i just use cuetips. not a bad method but certainly better than punching it.

  • I want to get my game to work not learn how to have sex with it!

needless to say tho, blowing works. period.

  • @andrewmatismfilms Also "Experiment with the position".

  • to use the blowing method, blow through some fabric, it acts as a spit guard

  • or give up and get a top loader

  • My Xbox 360 is from 2005, it has never gotten Red Rings. :)

  • @macosftw You are GOD

  • @macosftw same here!

  • @macosftw Lucky. XD

  • @macosftw I never really liked my 360 anyway, except for Gears Of War. :)

  • @macosftw Xbox 360 wasn't even out in 2005.

  • @Nekokakashi189 Yeah it was. It came out in Late 2005, November or December to be exact in North America. Games like PGR 3 even say Copyright 2005 on the back of them. Get your facts straight.

  • @macosftw Really? Wow , I think i just blacked out 2005 all together. And I didn't even say a fact.

  • @Nekokakashi189 It's all good man. Surprising, isn't it? Microsoft even mentioned that the Xbox 360 will continue to be produced up until the latest of 2015. a 10 year console run. Doubt it's going to be as great as the Ps2's

  • @macosftw lucky my friend got it for one month then it got rrod

  • @macosftw you sir know how to keep a xbox running very good!

  • @Th3Sabator45 Simple: I take care of my things. I have a cooling stand under my 360, and it has never been sitting downright or on carpet.

  • @macosftw

Then you barely used it, or you're a liar! lol

  • @jacobleb420 Nope. I play it a lot! :)

  • @macosftw

    I call bullshit! :)

  • @jacobleb420 Ok think whatever you want. People who actually know me know that my xbox has been running strong :)

  • I tried that it worked every now and than what do I do wen it dosent work.

  • My xbox360 is money. 6 years strong with no red circle of death.

  • Wow, ps3 fan much? Xbox 360 is far superior. We have higher fmv, better network(psn gets hacked, that's what free service does) and Xbox 360 controllers are way better.

  • @XLR8R018 At least we got games... bitch. Watch the Microsoft E3 conference and you'll see you have NOTHING worth saying. Fucking Fanboy.

  • @AVGNROCKS1996 What games? We got Halo 4.
