Dont these teachers ever thought of telling kids not to bring these toys to school before alerting the school board or the principal?? or at least call their parents and warm them about it?
These schools goes way to far with these kind of crap. However the boy who brought a lego action figure holding a 2 inch weapon was suspended and the school called it in (whatever that means)
They should give them a warning to the parents and tell them this kid brought this and warn them not to do it again.
If the teacher doesn't follow the protocol he or she gets fired or sued (more likely sued since it's actually quite hard to fire a teacher).
Don't get me wrong, this rule shouldn't exist. "Simulated" means not real. In other words, not a real threat.
It's just another example of how too many superfluous rules or laws made in the name of safety are really more dangerous that whatever threat they supposedly prevent or lessen.
