Hi, Richard, I've always liked '13 Questions' and I stumbled across this video in my searching. It's interesting that you mention you came across this technique because your hand/wrist was hurting doing the typical rhythm thing. I found a video of Seatrain playing a Canadian festival and, lo and behold, you're shaking out your wrist much like I do after a few pretty strenuous songs. thanks for posting this! question: do you need to worry about muting the strings with the left hand when you chop? or once you learn the chop correctly is muting unnecessary?

I do quite a bit of 'rhythmic' muting with the left hand, that is how I control the noise to pitch ratio. Thank you for asking, good question!

(i ask because in part 1 it does look like you're doing some left hand muting, but it's hard to tell for sure.)
