  • me gusta puffer

  • Uhh, I fed my pufferfish(same kind) shrimp last night, and that's how big its tummy got. It's not puffed up, it's just full.

  • Not puffed up it's pregnant

  • That's an American pufferfish

  • i beleive that the puffers do there bellies like that when they are stressed i have two an there bellies get a little like that when there backs discolor a little to brownish color wich is signs of stress

  • Awww how cute, so they can have bellies like humans. XD

  • my puffer fish never puffed up..... until today when i took him out of the tank to clean it. This is not what they look like when they puff up.

  • That's there stomach blowting up after they eat these types of fish don't really puff up ok and I should no I've even thouched my pet green puffer (witch is that fish in the video) bob and he didn't ever puff up

  • Everybody is an idiot. Not all puffers puff up like in spongebob. And only the porcupine puffer has spikes. Dumbasses.

  • When they puff up their entire bodies swell and their little spikes stand on end....

  • you are so stupid that is not puffed up just over fed no idea what you talking about

  • Hoe many months pregnant again?

  • green spotted puffers cannot puff up. But he is very healthy nonetheless. they are suppose to be very round to congrads on a healthy fish

  • Dude, this type of puffer fish actually doesn't puff up, unfortunately. Very cute fish, though. :)

  • look prego

  • this was my puffer fish and he was puffed up

    youtube.com/watch?v=2IQjr9-B22M

  • this was my puffer fish and he was puffed up

  • hey bro i think you need to burp him look it up

  • @TikiTpTube LOL

  • i saw that in pet land :D

  • can they live with angle fish

  • @yankees25ist unless its an amazon puffer, no!

  • Mmmm.... Dinner...

  • thats just a tumor

  • dude its just full

  • whats the small silver looking wish with the black line by its head in the video? thanks!

  • they don't eat the other one's?

  • he's just got a full belly :p

  • He's definitely just overfed. Mine has looked like this several times after eating. If they puff, they have spines.

  • if he was not over fed then lil homie had parasites, because no that is not him puffed up

  • @TikiTpTube yea . he treats him really well.

  • i dont think its puffing up, i think its pregnant or weird'

  • @naturewhisper3211 prettty sure its puffed up...

  • Feeding my puffers some red wigglers, think they're just earthworms with a cool name.

  • Oh, that's what you ment. :)

  • he's overfed!! hes dying!

  • @J41mEV4rG45 Not dying, just fat... :)

  • @MEGAONE302 i know but gosh hes so fat lol

  • Your an idiot that isn't puffed up at all u don't no what Ur talking about morron

  • @Mcloven3465 no need to be so mean

  • @J41mEV4rG45 What do you mean?

  • @MEGAONE302 i mean your being mean. lol.

  • @Mcloven3465 Green spotted puffers don't puff up like most puffers...for this species this IS puffed up. I work at a pet store and have owned green spotted puffers.

  • @Mcloven3465 Green Spotted's only puff their belly...

p.s. Learn grammar. It's "you're", not to mention the rest of your atrocious spelling skills.

  • @Mcloven3465 what's your problem man.. just chill the fuck out

  • @aequidens88 he doesnt seem that angry..ur the asshole who used inappropriate language

  • did you feed him the day before cuz he won't puff up underwater hes getting attacked by those angelfish -_-

  • I'd say it's just overfed... 3 GSP here. :)

  • whats the other fish that looks like a triangle called

  • @akatski5 That would be a mono fish

  • i wanna put fish in with my green spotted puffer but i'm scared he'll eat them D: which i have a great feeling he would xD

  • @adalwolf12 it wont if u breed the fishes together with bigger size... i have a few in tank with same size ... they are aggressive to a certain point at first but it gets familar and stopped ...

  • I kinda like the way these puffers puff looks like a bunch of beer bellys

  • Aw man! that was lame! lol No wonder i didnt think mine puffed up ever. :P

  • hes not puffed up... just full, nice try though

  • Overfed not puffed up...

  • i had 3 of these puffers, hes not over full, and its not a blockage, lol hes puffed up. i loved to watch mine eat, they are a really neat little fish.

  • i want one!

  • Small green spotted puffers like them need very little food before their stomach sticks out like in the video.

  • @1998PRODUCTIONS19998 they are tropical, like any other puffer, they are fresh/brackish and are NOT poisonous. But they arefin nippers. And all of this can be found on any decent website on fish keeping :P

  • i wish people would not comment like they know stuff when they really know NOTHING about green spotted puffers....you come off really stupid for us that do know about them.

  • Put a mirror in front of them. That always makes mine puff up :)

  • im tryin to get my puffers to puff up

  • If it looks like that and hasn't eaten yet, I would suspect it has a blockage. That does not look like puffed up to me, just saying.

  • yah, thats my parents excuse whenever they drink too much. Ive been 'over-served', lol

  • They can literally eat their selves to death, trust me. Mine never wants to stop eating, do not keep feeding them that much.

  • man, people need to stop being dumbasses thinking of the stereotypical "puffer fish". Not every puffer fish puffs up the same. Its from swallowing water to puff up it's STOMACH, so depending on stomach shape, the puffed up shape will be slightly different with most species.

  • lol i got a lil fatty gsp but his partner is little bit skinner then him well i guess i know who eats more then lol.

  • My GSP's will puff up like this if you put something in the tank thats bigger than them, a king prawn for example. Its not always stress, its also for defence. "YOU CANT EAT ME, IM TOO ROUND TO SWALLOW" They always return to normal and will eat fine. When a puffer is stressed they wont eat.

  • In the defense of the person who posted the video, I own 5 GSP's, and they CAN partially puff up just in the stomach area...which looks SIMILIAR to over feeding.......puffing up is an EXTREME stress reaction, and what you see in the video is what can happen when they are on the brink of puffing, but never fully puff up. Which in this case is better, because too much "puffing" up can actually kill them.

  • he or she isnt puffed, when they puff they puff all the body not only the stomach so you should look for youre fishes or crabs if you have XD

  • and also to have a little fun with your GSP, just like a cat your GSP will follow a laser pointer in his tank....it is hilarious....i smoke cigarettes and i hold the "hot" end to his tank and he goes crazy trying to investigate....amazing animals....if you have any questions about this fish please PM me or something because alot of people are misinformed about these wonderful creatures

  • @mrswiss420 ya they are sweet smart little fish i got 2 them in tank i got but can't find a lot info on them

took along time fig out what they were for sure since they were in saltwater tank when i bought it

  • yeah puffers actually "inflate" with water...i am looking at my puffer right now next to me and he is fat like that because he just devoured some krill...i have seen him puff up once...puffing up is NOT encouraged because this causes stress on the fish and stress will lead to other serious problems

  • so true he's just well fed lol if he was puffed up he would at least twice that size but never fear all amiture fish keepers make that mistake.LOL keep up your hobby it only gets better.

  • My figure eight does the same when he sees himself in the side of the tank. It's the marine puffers that go like balloons.

  • He is over fed, he probably ate a fish when you where not looking, whn a puffer really puffs up the fly to the surface because of the air

  • pregnant?

  • freshwater?

  • I always assumed that he was overfed, until i owned 2 of them and realized that it was in fact puffed GSP. The only inflates from belly, just like over feeding. But it appear sudently, often on feeding, when the two gsp i own gets on the same piece of shrimp. They both stress the shit out of themself. Those fish are VERY sensitive fish and you'll learned from their belly their overall health. And you have to see those guys sleeping. curled like dog. I will buy a scuba suit just to sleep whit the

  • i love puffer fish fish i have that in a 20 gal. tank

  • He is not puffed up lol. I have seen mine puffed up once, he was as round as a ball with little spikes all over. Yours is overfed

  • your fish are sick and full of ick! please learn how to take better care of fish before jumping into buying more delicate advanced hobbyist fish.

  • Fresh water puffers can only live in fresh water until there teen agers then they need to be put in salt water this is why they don't live that long and don't get big

  • i want to make a question so please answer...1) can i put a gold fish and a little puffer fish together in an aquarium? 2) i think that the filter in my aquarium pools my fishes and strayn them...what should i do?3)and what fish can leave in fresh water with a pufferfish??

  • @paulaxa1 1. Sure, the puffer will probably eat it. 2. I have no idea what you are asking. 3. None really, unless you have a 100% non-aggressive 100% freshwater puffer, and those are rare.

  • @posthardcorepoj

I even have black mollies on marine atm! Doing just fine ;)

  • try to keep live food in a seperate container so it dosn't ever eat

  • im not a idiot im a good boy =[

  • can this type of fish live in saltwater??

  • @factor727 They do best in brackish water, I believe.

  • @factor727 It will live perfectly fine in both brackish, and salt. In fact to mimic their natural living conditions best, it's ideal to have a fluctuating SG from 1.005-1.025. If you can manage to fluctuate that within those ranges every few months they'll be loving life.

  • He just has a full tummy. When they actually do puff up, little spines come out, and they turn into perfect little puffy circles.

  • @Zach81310 GSP's don't have spines.

However You are right on the fact that they turn into almost a perfect sphere.

One of mine puffed up once completely randomly... he went from about a 2.5 fish to the size of an orange. (Maybe I'm exaggerating... but he looked massive)

  • omg its a bat fish!! i love them~

i still remember mine, he was about a palm size, and he would only eat from my hands.. its kinda weird, but yea.. i miss him ;[

  • @XlopenX thats an angelfish.......its a freshwater tank, not salktwater...notice the green plants and white molly. sorry

  • @posthardcorepoj Mollies do very well in brackish water... and that was a mono, not an angelfish. Mono's are also brackish water. The plants are fake.

  • @Amemet1 I have just realised its a mono now looking back at it, also i forgot that over time you can introuduce freshwater fish into salt water conditions. My bad

  • @posthardcorepoj Not all, but there's a decent amount that will do well in LOW salinty. Only a handful can handle true brackish/marine.

Most common freshwater fish to be transferred to brackish are mollies and guppies.

  • he just overeat...

  • probably their first fish

  • hes not puffed , when GSP's puff , they re all body expands , and when they were just fed , they re stomach puffs

  • could be prego

  • haha cute i have one too, mine is 1 inch and his stomach is just like that, when there stomach seems like a ball such as that one its overfed, does your puffer harm your fish? By the way my puffer is blind

  • no. he didnt puff. when they fuff its there hole body not just there tummy.

  • i have one of these gsp and this puffer is not over fed mine puffed up in the bag before i put it in my tank and it looked just like this

  • does ur puffer attacks ur other fish? coz my puffer keep biting my other fish's fin off....

  • @miki4yang same lol

  • if he is over fed than how come the other puffers dont look fed at all i belive u v62kaccord

  • a fat person defending his "puffy" fish

  • yeah right It´s just overfed dude I´m got one too

  • Puffed up, or over-fed, neither is good. A puffed-up puffer is a seriously stressed fish. They only do it when it's a life or death situation, and often times puffing themselves up can kill them if they gulp any air.

  • your the idiot if you think thats puffed up stop feeding him so much

  • SO AMAZING!!!! MORE VIDEOS PLEASE!!!

  • my figure 8 puffer looked like that when i feed him RIP nibbles

  • definitely not puffed

  • Not puffed up. Sorry. Find other vids of them "puffed".

  • I thnk it is a female and its preggo Lol

  • i would think that s a toad fish!!!

  • Not to burst your bubble, but when they are puffed up, they have spikes and their whole body turns into a circle... their tummy doesn't just get big.

  • no it is not puffed up mine just got stuck in my filter.. they puff up all the way not just there

  • hi i just bought 2 can u plz tell me do this puffer reall puff out lol and do u need to brirish the water for this fish thx plz get back to me

  • when it puffs up with whole body gets puffy not just the belly you over fed you fish dumbass

  • It is over fed that's how it looks

  • I don't think that it is over fed, I don't think that it is puffed up, it is going to have babies!

  • This dude is overfed. He probly ate something in your tank before you fed him here. They do puff up and look like your typical puffed up puffer when they do, take him out of the water and hold him in your hand if you don't think so. Ive had these guys forever, and for you idiots who like tacky fake plants and plastic structure, this is overfed.

  • green and figure eights dont puff up

  • I have figure 8s. This gsp looks full- definitely not puffed.

  • hes not over fed mine did it randomly before

  • What? I thought green spotted never puffs....ever..except when it sleeps it just cuddles into a kind of small ball or something.

  • not puffed up... i had a green spotted and the whole body gets puffed up and he floated to the top... he got almost 3 times bigger and the have tiny spines that stick out

  • Definitely not puffed. Mine look like that when I feed them. Your dumb.

  • cleanest tank I ever saw

  • My puffer would always look like this when he ate too much lol

  • youve been eating too much

  • nice mono.s

  • not even close to puffed up, he just got done eating

  • he may not be able to puff all the way some cant. and for all of you that are saying GSP's dont puff up pick up a book and read once in a while GSP's do puff all puffer fish do if stressed that is there defence. juvies wont puff as often as the adults the adults will puff allmost on cue. v62kaccord nice tank dude or dudeit a good looking puffer and moan. I bet most dont even know where these puffers live in the wild. Any way good luck with them dude.

  • @PioltTwister

That's what they made viagra for.

  • @copperpaint LoLOLoLoLoLOlOLoLo

  • If this is before feeding it could be bloated desorder most fish die from it. when these guys "puff" up there whole bodie doubles its size. If i where you i would check on this. it can be passed on to other fish. Bloat is the build up of gasses from a bactira in the digestuve track in fish if not treated it can kill. but from hes or her aperance it semase ok . ?????

  • freshwater sucks

  • @cokecolaguy1

without it we'd all be dead.

  • GSP's do puff. they do when they get stressed. I had one in my roommate's tank with his oscar and female beta. i found him with his left fin all torn up two weeks ago, so i removed the oscar from the tank, thinking it was him. my puffer then puffed and died with a few hours, so i put oscar back. my roommate put the female with the male, and it killed him! i now hate that fish bitch. SHE KILLED PUFF DADDY!!!

  • thats not puffed.... its just overfed!

  • @korrepz LMAO!

  • what idiots, thats his stomach. and gsp do puff up. rarely though. ive seen it when i had one.

  • poor puffer hes so chunky he needs slim fast

  • @Arawin1 - He's not puffed up. That is what happens when they eat, you can see their stomaches. It's one of the few fish you can see if they are hungry just by looking at them!

  • yeah, GSPs don't puff up. Porcupine fish are the ones that puff up. Yours is just obese

  • I have one

  • hes not puffed up he was just overfed. mine did that once and then puked it all up

  • @mcr1281 For you idiots, he's not overfed... this was before feeding.....

  • @mcr1281 no ther are ment to do that i have 5

  • @mcr1281 yea mine too. i saw him actually get puffed up and he turns into a complete ball with very little spikes around him

  • @mcr1281 mine did 2

  • i have 2 gsp and a mon plus scat in my brackish tank 20 gallons but when they are bigger i will move them up to a 100 gallon tank.

  • lol a tank full of fuju

  • He looks really full - not puffed

  • ahemm, your puffer fish is only well fed, not puffed or pregnant, it is almost unheard of that puffers, spotted or f8 have ever successfully bred in captivity.

  • @gophersgirl no no he swears that he still had the food in his hand

  • i got two of those yesterday, but they dies this morning. i have no idea why. maybe because of the water we used. do you have any idea why they dies. just curios

  • you have to buy salt for freshwaterfish and put it on the fishtank that's what the guy at the petshop told me..mines been ok
