There is a correction Ustad Shahid Parvez is playing like a young Ustad Vilayat Khan. He has the same passion for excellence. If you need proof listen to his Bhairavi, where he plays with a Imdadkhani Mizrab. After that compare it with Ustad Vilayat Khan's rendation of the same composition.

Not that difference. Yes, Vilayat Khan is the Sitar God, and will be forever. But Shahid Parvez is a great musician, with his own style.

Ustad Shahid Parvez plays like young Ustad Vilayat Khan Sahib. This Bairagi reminds me of the Bairagi sung by the immortal Ustad Amir Khan sahib:
Man sumiran nisa din tumaro naam.
