The Robot does not play his saxophone on the newer releases at all. The Aquabats replaced their upbeats with palm mutes and their horn riffs with synthesizers, even before their trumpet players quit. I am not saying their new music is bad. I just think that after losing so many members and ditching the ska, the Bats are not as great as they once were. The new wave is pretty nerdy, but 8 zany guys dressed in diver outfits holding trumpets and playing zany ska music just worked so much better, IMO
