It was at Sundance Flying Club in Palo Alto, I don't remember the instructor's name, but you should contact the club on phone and they will schedule a flight for you.
I guess it's only Cessn 150/172 that the PIC should ALWAYS have (1) hand on the throttle and (1) on the yoke during take off to insure that the throttle stays at full power (climb out) power? That's what I was taught....
as I remember I payed 160$, but because I was with a friend (he payed also) we have flown 2 hours - one a student pilot and one as passenger, so it worth it :D
@nagyizee naaw most people don't get to take off on their own on an introductory flight. Looks like you did just fine. I think a novice mistake is forgetting to enjoy the flight then throwing out random youtube insults to compensate.
Great fun to watch... My dad has a CPL IR and flies a TB-20 GT. I often fly with him and have landed on a few occasions. I really love full size... but for now i am hooked on toy planes:D
@nagyizee im in the air force rotc program at The University of Alabama. Im trying to become an officer in the air force....hopefully one day ill get paid to fly planes haha
Awesome video! can you share the instructor's or his flying school's info?...I would love to take my girl friend on this sweet ride!

I made almost alone the take off but the landing was made in double control with the instructor.
Only after 14hours was able to land alone (feeling it :) )

what is that alarm in the background? I have heard that once before flying a rented warrior but had no idea what it was

are you referring to the alarm-like sound at ~1:00 ?
The instructor told me that it is caused by the strobe light's inverter board
He turned the strobe off and the sound gone.
It can be heard in the earphone also

Cool stuff;
I wish I had some pilots in my family, but why not to be the first :-). It is only matter of money in my case.
Anyway I want to do it step-by-step. First step will be with gliders - more accessible in our region.
nagyizee 2 years ago
Yes... Gliders are a much better way to start, especially since they are cheaper!
Good luck!
