  • @lollolzlolx dont forget Filipinos. xD

  • badminton is fun, but on the professional level this is the sport for retarded people. lol x

  • @avtush you just dont understand pro sports

  • why's that when i smashed, d birdie will bounce few foot away, while these pros had a consistent smash.

  • what if we try to jump and smashes the shuttlecock?we cannot generate the strength like we did on the ground...can pls reply me?>.>

  • @UnnamedHunterx You can create that speed. But the impt point that is not mentioned in this vid is that Jumping create a steeper angle for the smash and make it harder for the opponent to return and the shot will hit nearer to the net. A return high at the net can end with a follow up smash.

  • @doctormoo ooo...tqtq

  • @UnnamedHunterx the jump smash, when executed correctly, generates more power than the regular smash, because the legs are free to "kick" in the air and pull even more energy from the mid-body. But its the most difficult shot technically (I can't do it right yet...). See the Peter Rasmussen jump smash video.

  • i will never dance

  • i will never danceeeee

  • wow!!!1

  • awesome

  • china pro team now rule the badminton world

  • now tan boon heong from malaysia has the fastest smash, about 423km/h

  • zzz... boring with tournament's rivals smashes... nid to try out that 1:20 smash =D!!!

  • your videos are great but i don't like expert village because i keep losing and i really get frustrated

  • The racquet drop has not been mentioned. Watch where the guy is ready to smash. The striking arm is elevated and the non-striking arm is raised for balance. The weight is on the back foot and he is ready to transfer his weight into the shot. It's fast, but you can see it. The racquet drops before coming back for the contact. This is similar in tennis. You drop the racquet all the way back, as if you are going to scratch your lower back with the racquet. The elbow is raised and it leads the shot.

  • I recently started playing badmintion. I was a naive, and was loosing lot of games, and were getting fraustrated. these videos helped me a lot to improve my badminton skill. And now I am a way better player player than bfore. thanks to Bojanglesbadmintion for these videos. I wish to see more videoes soon.

    thanks

  • @rcstar07 dude can yu give me good youtube videos to improve my badminton bcz i win very rarely

  • @karansena well, few key points you always need to work on specially for single:

-most important thing is placing. try to place a shot with or without force. placing is more important than smashing in single

-try to find weakness of your opponent as you play. most right hand players has huge weakness on their backhand shot

-try not give good shot to your opponent. then he will be in control.

  • whats with that trick shot at 0:30?

he hit the bird twice? 0_o

  • their music at the front is lik when u play a game and u go to another scence..o.O

  • Check out my badminton lesson videos.

  • IDK y i have fast smashes, only problem is that i cant seem to find the right grip to have enough angle

  • Oh my gooooosh they're SO good. This is why I shouldn't attempt playing badminton :)

  • hey just curious what does the girl speak at the intro? this accent makes it impossible to understand ANY word except for "we can.." :)

  • @pianoman74 We can make you dance - just a normal asian kid answering ya

  • badmington is awesome

  • these guys should disguise their smashes

  • @ecllippse Don't you think its hard to disguise your smashes in doubles? That's all this team plays..

  • i cant even smash corectly lol

  • @razeEX dont worry smashing isnt hard just takes time to get use to it

  • I have a question. Is your arm suppose to be straight when your racket contact the shuttle?

  • I wish I could jump smash like Robertson !

  • @locatemayank i wish i can jump smash like Fu Haifeng:P

  • I wish I could jump smash like Robertson !

  • jesus that smash sound magnificent

  • oops

  • I have a badminton tryout next week and I haven't played badminton... ever. But since I play tennis, I figured might as well tryout for badminton. So are the smashes in badminton similar to tennis?

  • Yup, it's basically the same as a tennis serve. In badminton, however, you tend to use a little more wrist to control the shuttle better.

  • Oh I see, thanks

  • @Repstellar badminton and tennis are different. =/

  • I'm pretty sure the smashes are similar.

  • 200 miles per hour? Try 300 or 400

  • @Chowmeinaddict 400 MPH = 640KM/H Whos done that?

  • i just got a Yonex nanospeed 9000 (type x) racket n im still geting use to it but when evr i jump smash my forearm muscles strain n they hurt like hell after, is tht cuz im just getting use to the wirght n stuff?

  • Make sure to "open" your shoulder at the arm you shoot with. Dunno if that will help you. Also, when flicking the wrist it must be timed correctly, otherwise the effect will not be gained and you might stress your wrist

  • @heartbrokenGudBye

I still get that and I've been playing for over 2 years. guess im out of shape lol

  • ive just bought a "head metallix pro tour" not a 1000 800 ect it just says" pro tour"" its 88 grams and says flexible, cost £49 have i got a decent racket? or have i been ripped off,im just learnin. cheers guys.

  • The price is O.K. I use a Forza Asia Amour 30000 which was bought for £ 60 and it weights 84 gr. Just find a racket that you are comfortable with, the brand doesn't matter. I once played with a £ 5 racket which I was very happy with. It lasted for many years and I played the shit out of other players with expensive equipment

  • @feiz01 Entry Level graphite racket.. you wont get a cheaper one, they're all around the 100USD range.

  • shit! this is awsome! ive never been so amazed! ahah i realize i suck ass now!

  • To get the shuttle nearer the net you don't have to flick your wrist, just hit the shuttle at its highest point and make sure your racket is in front of your head so the racket head has a low flight path.

  • some people at my local tell me to "close my wrist down" at the end of my smash to put the shuttle nearest the net, but well in pro video i never see that wrist mouvement they always seem to use the more power they can, anyone can explain me more about that? thx

  • It depends how much you want to decline your smash. If you want the angle to be high then flick your wrist just before hitting the shuttlecock. It's hard to explain, it takes a lot of practice to get the feeling of it

  • i dont think its the strain cuz ive been playing for a longtime and kno how to bring down my snap at the right momment. i have always had the strain there but ever since i got my new racket its been really bad i cant even do an overhead clear without being in pain let alone a jump smash

  • Just have a Yonex Muscle Power 22. The oldest model of the muscles series, I think.

  • its a very good racket that model

  • what racket you guys all got. i got a BK impulse 729

  • I have a nanospeed 9900 JP and a Arcsaber Z-Slash JP :D

    bought it from Japan

  • this video has helped me so much thank you. Check my channel for the secret to badminton arms.

  • you can't make me dance, you can't make me dance, dance ,dance

  • england suck

  • Thanks to this video, my smashing skills are improved. :)

  • Oh one more thing, I'm also a singles player. I know how tough it is to recover after a big jump smash. And for those who want to know how to solve this(it's gonna be obvious, but oh well) practice your smash to the fullest, the more powerful it is, the harder you make it for the opponent to return it, hitting a smash winner. (:

  • prove it. do one and then post it on youtube.

  • I think you gotta read the title. The title said "Badminton Technique Forehand Smash", it did not say anything regarding the jump smash. (:

  • haifeng has the fastest smash period . . .

  • that jerk is nathan robertson, olympic silver medalist and at one time was the fastest smasher in the game.

    you absolute moron

i bet your fucking amazing arent you

  • let's just make this clear, taufik does not have the fastest smash. he has the fastest backhand smash at this point of time. which is actually more impressive from my point of view.

  • i wish my doubles partner was that cute... lol

  • china set the record for forehand

  • what speed?

  • taufik has the fastest on court jump smash. 305km/h

  • fu haifeng has the fastest smash in badminton 332km/h

  • your wrong..

Naoki Kawamae-Japanese badminton player has achieved the fastest smash at 414km/h

  • no he used that new racquet makes ur smash faster if fu haifeng used it it would be like 450 kmh

  • now it's tan boon heong at 423km/h.

  • I don't think tan's shot was played in an offical game...

  • not sure about that but it came out in the papers that he now holds the record.

  • but only because of a new way to mess the tempo. Just advertisment.

  • however this experiment is conducted in a controlled enviorment rather than in a competion, and also the shuttle is tracked by a high speed camera and the speed of the shuttle is determined right after the shuttle leaves the racket. Also, Fu used to hold the fastest smash speed of 332, and i dont think a racket is going to increase your smash speed by 100 km

  • now it's 416 km/h

  • @ngeks wrong..is Tan Boon Heong from Malaysia...421km/h

  • @ngeks That's even faster than Taufik's smash - 305kph

  • @ngeks no more

  • no thats different. the china is for doubles. hidayat for singles.

  • ya, true

  • taufik hidayat from indonesia sets the records for fastest smash, forehand & back hand

  • ty soooo much i always want to smash from the back court, but I can never find the right angles.
