I like it. Would be a great solution to access my workshop storage area. If you are still supplying info on building this I would greatly appreciate it if you would send it gasawdust@ gmail.com
This is an amazing solution to a common problem. I live in the UK in a very small house and have recently completed a loft conversion to create more space. I have a stair case but it takes up way too much room, hence i went looking for a solution and came across your brilliant idea! Is there any chance you can send me some details of it's construction, materials used etc... thank you. my e-mail is joshuagilchrist5@hotmail.com.
I have to agree with roastpike, how big is your vehicle storage area? You must have many modes of transport to warrent that much car polish, don't know about the calf muscles but the right bicep must be impressive, almost crablike?
The staircase looks great and like so many other I would love more info on them. They would work great at my camp. My email is gregwc57@gmail.com Thanks.
I too would appreciate any information on the construction of that wonderful setup. If you can please email me at morales_brandon@hotmail.com that would be great. Thank you for your time
Love the staircase. Just what I've been looking for in a project I'm planning. Could you please send me more info and pictures? My email is dills@hotmail.co.uk Thanks.
Looks like you spend far too much time lining up your bottles of car polish. The steps look like uber fun, up... then down...up.... then down, your calf muscles must be well defined by now.
Incredible engineering!! Can you send along some info. This is just what I am looking for in my garage access to the loft!! email is davestankevich@gmail.com Thanks Kindly
Hi, I'm also a big fan of your design. Looks solid, smart and appears to work well. I to am looking to build something similar and would appreciate any specs or design plans you have to help with my design/build. regards Andrew email:

Hello. This door is exactly what I've been searching for. Your design is ingenious. As you have indicated to others, would you be willing to share your design and plans with me? My email address is abgapple@comcast.net
Hi there, watched the video and this is exactly what we need for our loft access. We would really like to know more about this in the hope we can make one for ourselves - my email is nancy.allen@lycos.com. Many thanks in advance.
Like the many others who have seen your video, I am VERY impressed and would like to build essencially the same thing for my garage. Any info that you could send me would be greatly appreciated. You should charge us all for this. I bet there is a sizable market of peope that would pay to be able to duplicate your work. larrymacin@aol.com
hi, we would like to build a staircase like this in our house. Would you kindly send me specs on how you did this and pictures as well. Would appreciate it very much. My email add is catherine.magno@yahoo.com. Thanks so much.
hello. Great design and fantastic retractable system. Could you please share some diagrams, pics, or anything that may give me some idea on how to build it,. Thanks and congratulations.
g'day, need info on this great idea, if you wouldn't mind! i can't seem to find retractable stairs anywhere! btw, would a sloping ceiling present any problems to the stairs? thanks.
Hi. This is AWESOME! Could you provide a few details? Such as, the length and force of the gas springs. Did you weigh the stairs and calculate the gas spring force needed? Thanks. Very cool.
I know I have watched this 50 times and it will be perfect for the guest house. Please send me any info on how you built this. Are the side rails of the stairs 2 x 8's? How about the treads? Approx what did the gas springs cost? thedancinggoat83@gmail.com
This looks like a simple but very effective design. I could use one just like it. I have an opening that is approx. 10 1/2' long and at least 4' wide. Would appreciate any info and/or suggestionjs you can provide, particularly on the hardware you used. my email address is loucarrozza@yahoo.com. Thank you.
Hi I am really impressed with the functionality of this staircase. Would it be possible to send me some info on how to build it. I just installed a loft in my garage and this would be perfect for access. Email is scave@videotron.ca
But they won't lose pressure all at once and conk somebody on the head? I looked for a long time for similar hardware for a trap door for a cupola, where kids play. The door had to close gently to prevent pinching fingers, but had to close securely every time. Tried many different hatchback springs, and ended up going with a medium grade industrial door closer, which has the advantage of having an adjusting screw.
Would love to get more details about the materials you used for this job. I would rather have full stairs to my attic as opposed to a folding ladder. If you do have more details I would love it if you could forward them to me. Cheers Dave
Your design is extremely well thought-out. I am interested in building this for my self. Could you help me with the hinge that you used to attach the staircase to the ceiling joist, the size of the stringers and threads, where to purchase the gas spring, also the species of the wood used. Sorry for all the questions. Hope you could help.
have been looking for a design to work for my needs...this could possibly be a useful concept. How can I learn more and get information / specs on it's design, how to build it, purchase one?
I want to do the same thing with a stairway I have up to a loft. What strength/length of gas spring do I need to use? I'll assume my wooden staircase is about the same size/weight as this one in the video....
