Would you attempt to prevent a lion from killing a gazelle on the basis of animal rights? I don't believe in the needless murder of animals, but this is a sport that is close to Spain's heart and when it comes down to it, humans are animals V.S other animals. This is taking an animal out of its natural habitat and torturing it for human entertainment! Humans ARE animals but when a human kills or tortures another human it's considered wrong an punishable. hello sdl75, I have to start by saying i partially agree with you. I dont agree how chickens and pigs are farmed. I do eat only farm free birds and eggs. However to your reference about the bull fights. It is cruel, sadistic, and humiliating to the animal. If you kill an animal and eat it, that is different to torturing it,then eating it. What I am saying is, if a man can punch a 200kg sand back into mid air, he can stun the bull in one punch, and 2 punches will bring it to it's knees, thats the real fighting spirit, and that's something I would respect.
