  • Spong is just too gun-shy. This fight should have finished in the first round.

  • i mean kyotaro !

  • this is how you deal with masato , you give him no room to dance around you and get cheap points , this is why i think that spong is the most talented fighter in k1 today , he just needs to get used to his new weight but when he does i promise you he will be the new mr perfect !

  • kyotaros can take punches, kicks and elbows and still standing in front of spong. what the hell is he eating? a very good fight. thanks for sharing the video.

  • 8:02 Look at the referee, LOL

  • Spong is one of those guys who in my opinion is a "perfect striker" hes just as dangerous with his hands (Floyd Mayweather Sr said he could turn Spong into a world Champion Boxer if Tyrone moved to Las Vegas) as he is with his feet.

As far as being a pure Tactician in the world of striking I'd say Tyrone is near the top. Badr Hari, Gokhan Saki, Tyrone Spong, this new generation of kickboxers who can equally knock you out with their hands and feet are taking our sport to the next level.

  • does anybody know why Tyrone Spong went to Ernesto Hoost instead of Golden Glory? I know Hoost is a true champion with a LOT of experience, but GG has so many fighters in his weight category and with the same skills, he should be able to train there better??

anybody with inside information? im dying to find out more about the decisions of this amazing fighter!

  • @wubs23 Hard to say. Hoost does have a few excellent heavyweights in his selection and does do things differently than his former trainer Carbin. His switch basically coincided with both his desire to go up a weight class, a broken hand and some private setbacks Spong didn't go into detail about.

It could also just be that GG just wasn't going to offer him a contract just like that. No-one will deny Spong is good. But being good doesn't always mean there's a place on any team any time.

  • @Blahb27 that actually made a lot of sense. thank you. just one question: which fighters train at hoost then? i've never heard anything about it.

  • @wubs23 Phfew, I honestly don't know too many. He does his coaching at Vos Gym, so anyone in there may be taught by him I guess. It's been said he also teaches at Sokudo Gym where he's from himself, but I can't confirm that.

Ashwin Balrak is coached by him, but he won't be appearing in the ring for a while after being caught cutting up 82 kilos of cocaine. Most regular fighters don't really get the kind of fame that gets your personal details on Youtube.

  • Anybody explain to me why a double handed clinch is allowed here? I love it and wish all K-1's would allow it but I thought it was banned?

  • @glassjaw890 in 2010. this fight took place in 2009 ;)

  • Gegard Mousasi vs Kyotaro Dynamite

  • great fight :)

    good sportsman ship.

    5/5

    thanks for upload

  • Why do all Japanese fighter make single or double attacks, but never combo's?

Their kicks are most of the time pretty strong, but don't do a punch combo before them, or after a punch don't finish with a lowkick..

Almost as if they are still doing karate ;)

  • @wubs23 it is. They're not doing KB/MT. They're trained in Kyokushin or Seidokaikan Karate.

Some also have Thai trainers and so , just like them , dont throw many combinations.

So you have the Thais : No combinations but strong attacks and trickery.

    The Dutch : Mainly combinations.

The Japanese : Just like the thais but focus on speed rather than power.

  • @gameboy010203 yes.. one would think they would all follow the dutch example. I mean, out of the 17 K1 finals, dutch fighters won 14 of them.. and are on to their 15th!

  • @wubs23 Just shows that however it's nearly one sport, different influences lead to different tactics.

  • @rulezz264 so true. in fact, on of the most true comments on a fighting video i've read so far. =)

  • @wubs23 Obviously you've never watched Masato fight.

  • @ThaiBox7788 you are right, masato is the exception.

  • @wubs23 to be honest, asian fighters fight bigger man 80% of the time,u have to be on the defensive and not let yourself open.when size is perfectly in weigh and height then westerner run for his life.

  • @unimaculata true. i didn't think about that, but you're right.

  • @wubs23

I think Kyotaro is the exception. Most japanese fighters throw punch kick combos..Hell thats where the the dutch get there whole style from anyways....

  • Tough Japan boy!!! Real sensei eventhough so young! Skills to be improved and many years yet to come! Go Kyotaro!

  • very good tyrone....kyotaro very good chin..wowwww

  • really good fight. Tyrone was ron the 3rd round really courageous and professional

  • prachtig goed zo Tyrone . heel ,mooie partij

  • good third round.

    thx for upload.
