In other European countries and in NZ/Australia they charge separate fee for International students which is much higher. I was wondering, is it the same in Germany too?

@DAADBonn hello im american n im about to graduate high school n i took my SAT and i was wondering if i can go to a university straight out of high school and not having to enroll into a college over here and then study abroad?
@shiloh1213 If you can meet the requirements the university asks for you can enroll right away in a Bachelor's program. Please search our database for international programmes and see what it has to offer for you: daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/07535.en.html
Also check our website study-in.de for more information about life and study in Germany.
hello, i am from romania and i would like to study in germany. I am curious if the universities have students hostel ? And if they do , how much does it costs? Also , i have visited the DAAD website , but i find it kinda confusing, how do you actually get in touch with someone from a german university? Also, in order to be accepted there you have to take some extra exams (beside the ones you've already taken in your country?) and where can i find wich ones?
He says that countries of the EU or of "equivalent standing" can just have their parents write a simple note saying that they have sufficient money and can fund their child's studies. Which countries have "equivalent standing"? I'm from the US.
I am an international student looking to do engineering what do I need to do to study in Germany is it hard to get expected into any of these university's ?

i am from pakistan when i checked at daad website about my background it apears"Your possibility of admission:
With your educational background, you qualify for subject-restricted admission to a preparatory course. This allows you to apply for a preparatory course in the subject area of Medicine, Natural Sciences and Technology, corresponding to the subject area specified in your secondary school-leaving certificate."
but i really cant understand it, cant i do bachelors in arts or buisness?plz
@muis786 In order to study for a bachelor's degree at a German university your school leaving certificate must have the same standard as the German Abitur. If not, you have to do a preparatory course at a Studienkolleg first: studienkollegs.de/en/. But this depends also on the exact programme you wish to study and the admission requirements set by the university. Please check our database: daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/07535.en.html

We were quite surprised about your comment and wondering how you were able to prepare your application without even knowing where exactly you would like to study.
