  • Both the A2 and Lupo 3L versions were develped at the same time using same engine and drive train PD technology. The Lupo was a much smaller car that came to market just before the A2 but it had 3 doors and no real boot space. Also being based on a shortened Polo chassis meant it was mainly made of steel (unlike the Ally A2). The Lupo 3L was made lighter using magnesium panels even down to the seat frames and steering wheel. It's Cd was slightly higher than the 0.25 of the A2 1.2TDi

  • Audi did this with the A2 1,2 TDI 12 years ago!

  • I like it...in a way. But will the price be what keeps us from seeing this? With carbon fiber and everything, the people that can afford it won't really be worried about gas mileage. But I don't know, maybe these will be affordable, and we will see a pretty cool eco-friendly car like this..but some how I don't think so.

  • I like it - especially the interior. It looked clean and simple, like VWs from a few decades ago. I'm still warming up to the back end - a cuter butt would be nice. A diesel hybrid sounds like a good idea. I'd buy it. I'd be especially curious about a pop-top camper sibling!

  • i want a gti mk6.. sooo im good lol

  • why don't they(car companies) make diesel hybrids?

  • I think they are up to it...

  • How long is VW going to stop making these UP! concepts?! Just make it in to production or trash it.

  • not bad looking. looks pretty good for being one of those concept ecoboxes.

  • I hope we dont see it.....
