I don't even know u but I wept watching the beautiful pictures of your mom and your family. It made me wonder what my mom would have looked like older standing next to her grandchildren. I lost her in 2004 she was 42. I'm so sorry for your loss.
My heart aches for you. I am a hospice nurse and so many of my patients suffer with Alzheimer's Disease or another dementia. My pain is as much for the loved ones as for the patient. Please know there are those of us who care deeply. Continue to cherish those memories, dear girl. Our loved ones are only borrowed from the One who created us.
I feel you pain, my dad lived with us for 6 1/2 months, before we got him into a wonderful assisted living, He has been going down hill for more than 4 years. This is such a terrible ailment, and the pain of not being able to help your parents is so tough. Prayers with you, your mom, and your whole family. Thank you for sharing your story. Maybe if we all share our stories, some day someone will find a cure for this horrible disease. God bless you all.
I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Lewy Body Dementia is a horrible disease and so few people have ever heard of it. My father-in-law died of Alzheimer's and there was no comparison in the two diseases. Mom is suffering so much more mental anguish. The paranoia, hallucinations and night terrors are the worse. It just kills us to see her so afraid. We once found her hiding in her closet from her imagined demons. It is so sad. Thank you for your comments.
I am sorry and feel your pain. I lost my mother this January... I could not even cry. I actually was inspired to pick up my keyboards today and write a song about her.
I'm sorry about your mother. I think it is great that you are going to write a song about her. I know it made me feel good to make this video. I brought a laptop to Mom so she could watch it and she wanted to watch over and over. She said that she looks so loved. Of course, she is. She has 9 children!
It can tbe terrible getting older--and having your health go--and you feel so helpless!! We all are going to get old--why can't the medical world come up with a cure for Dementia/Lewy body & Alzhemiers....To stop it...
God Bless You, I will pray for you and your family
You are so right. Getting older is no fun. And they do need to work harder to eliminate all forms of dementia. We all have a high probability of getting it. Thank you so much for your comments and especially for your prayers!
