btw i am sad to hear the drive of the mcs passed away but he dies doing what he loved most not slowly of cancer or something really lame. we all die one day and i can only hope i go doing what i love as well. god rest his soul...
heard those minis are shit. got curious and youtubed em as i do when i find an automobile id like to see in action and within the first two pages i found a video of one on fire and multiple stories of peoples minis going up in flames and other nightmares. idk i hate em but if you have a good one and love then i am glad you are in car nivana lol
The driver of the Mini Cooper was a friend of mine. Joe Drey was a super guy and loved driving his Mini Cooper. It had a smaller supercharger pulley, exhaust, and set of coilovers. I tuned his car and if I remember correctly it had right around 205whp. I had talked to him after this event and said he had a wonderful time. Thanks for posting this as I know he loved the track.
Willow Springs International Motorsports Park is located in Rosamond, California in the United States of America. Within it, there are multiple tracks, the most notable ones being Willow Springs International Raceway (a.k.a. "Big Willow") and the Streets of Willow Springs (shown in the video).
I turned a 1:34.728 later in the day in my third session (when my LF wheel bearing first went bad). The transponder I rented wasn't available in the first and second sessions because somebody forgot to charge all the transponders. I also didn't get any lap times during my fifth session because the transponder's battery died. That day was only my second time at the Streets of Willow Springs.
lol, thanks. i actually never knew about that button untill now.
i love how suspension work is your priority. all these guys worry about beefing up the power for when they get to the track. then they end up getting beat by a miata with a lot less power. you nailed my track philosophy exactly 1.driver skill 2. suspension(for a wrx or sti) 3.power mods.
according to my amateur calculations you should be close to 230 whp with stage 1 (stock 185 ish)

187whp? i doubt that, stage 1 is 260 engine hp, there is no way u loose 80 hp just to get it to the wheels

The mini seemed to match or even better the Subaru carrying speed through corners but the subaru obviously had the legs on the strait, Good video!
RIP to the person in the mcs
