Well, where I live here in West Texas... we also hear about cutting back on water and I have to laugh my ass off when - I live right across the street in front of the city water treatment plant who waters their lawn daily and we water peasants are fined heavily if we're caught watering our lawns more than 3 times a week! WHAT??? Hey, it's my government hard at work and I expect to get screwed because that's what they do BEST!!!
I understand your point, but we customers buy products from these big corporations, so indirectly we are also responsible for the water they need to produce the things we buy from them. So the 3% does not include all the water the little guy uses during a day, in fact the little guy is the majority of the population and thus still consumes the most water. What needs to happen though is that everyone needs to invest in a more efficient use of resources on our planet.

Yeah, we have worse water restrictions in Vegas, cause we export all of the water to you So Cal bastards.
