Hmm...looks to be about as wide as a football field. A decent-sized wedge. Was it doing F5 damage while this was being shot, or did its moment of greatest intensity occur at another time?

That footage with the tornado behind the houses was a footage of the Mount Pleasant tornado in Desperate Housewives Tornado episode.

@thesimsfan40104 I dont know exactly which footage you're talking about (I havent watched TV since 9/11/2001) but this footage is from the Andover F5; I lived through it, and I will never forget it.

It is amazing the way that tornado missed those houses. Imagine looking out the back window and seeing that tornado miss your house.

@kaboonify I don't have to imagine. I was looking out the window (of our basement) as it was in our backyard. To this day the most intense, scary, and invigorating experience of my life. It has always amazed me the houses and buildings this thing managed to skip over. Like our brand new youth center on base yet it completely leveled our elementary school less than a half a mile away.

@Rangerhalt1 I just watched a documentary about the tornado that leveled Greensburg. Other than talking of rebuilding 'green', there wasn't much of a follow up. Did you stay and how are things going?

@46619TAB Well, the rebuilding "green" has put us in the hole. Our former fearless leader wanted to spend spend spend. One million dollars on a building wasn't enough. He wanted it to be five million. Our school for two hundred kids is almost sixty million dollars just because it was green. And when we started to get a few more students because we merged with a few close by towns, we didn't have enough room. So it was a sixty million dollar investment that couldn't hold over two hundred kids.
