  • I must be to conditioned to the four dimensions(length, width, height, time) because this video didn't make any sense to me. The ant doesn't live in a 3 dimensions(length, width, time) world because the ant can still recognize the fourth dimension (height.) It's just in a smaller proportion then the way I see the word (length, width, height, time.)

Ant see = (length, width, height, time) --> smaller proportion

I see = (length, width, height, time) ---> larger proportion

    I dont get it.

  • Maybe when we are in heaven, we are in tenth dimension. We could ask anything we want.

  • if you can use a computer or paper, you should know what's 2d ;) just kidding. nice vid.

  • :) :)

  • 45 people are big bang theorists

  • wait.. so does this mean im dead in another dimension?

  • I'm not sure why posibilities are considered a dimension, let alone serveral. This video didn't work my grey matter.

    Interesting video though.

  • There can only be one infinity. By definition. Nice try though. ;-)

  • @romanjcg That isn't true. Infinity isn't a concrete object, it's a concept. For instance, in mathematics, we use "infinity" as another way of saying "I can always just add another zero, and it's still a valid number". To us, the universe appears infinite because it wraps around dimensions we can't see. However, this "infinite" universe is simply a single point in the 7th dimension, which we are physically unable to perceive. It's a bit abstract, but it does make sense.

  • @metsfan92286 I agree with what you are saying metsfan, especially when you said, "the universe appears infinite" if it only appears infinite and is not infinite then we should choose another word to describe it like, "really big". Unfortunately the word infinite means containing all. If our universe is infinite then there is only one universe. Can our universe contain different dimensions within it? Of course. I agree with this video up until about the 6th or 7th Dimension.

  • The thing that I get hooked up on is the single point of impossible size and shape. If it is a spot of space or mass then what is it made up of? It is just an imaginary concept. But every dimension is made up of these series of impossible spots using the dimension before it but how do you start this spot that can not possibly be made of anything?

  • @playalover23 You are sounding like a flatlander right now. When you say "a point in space" you are thinking a point in 3 dimensional space, but that is just the point, there are more than 3 dimensions. What he is describing is a point in other dimensions. Essentially what he is saying is that this single point, which seems to be of impossible size TO US because that's all we are able to perceive it as, is simply a single point in another dimension we can't perceive, only imagine.

  • @metsfan92286 I think he is talking about the first single point mentioned in the video -- the first dimension. We should be able to imagine it since the third dimension we exist in includes the two former dimensions. His question is that if the following dimensions that are single points are made of the things existing in the dimensions before them, then what makes up the first (single point) dimension? Presumably nothing, but that's like adding 0 to 0 and getting a natural number.

  • @playalover23 Oh geez, that's a good point!

  • @playalover23 Why it's wonderfully simple. The single point of indeterminate size - is the 10th dimension.

10th dimension being the sum of all

    1st point being nothing

But in a system, we can deduce that there is no such thing as 'nothing' and instead it would be 'every thing/infinite' instead. The reason there's this confusion is because the video explained it in a bi-polar dualistic way. When that's not how the universe is made up, the universe is self-similar (fractals). 10 = 1.

  • This isn't on google maps.

  • howed i get here from LilDeuceDeuce

  • holy shit, i should not have watched this while stoned, mind fucked in the ass

  • It may be fast for some but its straight forward, there's kind of a pattern.

  • How do you have strings in the tenth dimension if it is a single point? Shouldnt they be in the ninth dimension?

  • my mind has been raped in the 5th deminsion... :O

  • This video completely eliminates the need for smoking weed. Don't do drugs, do physics; it's much more of a trip!

  • MINDFUCKED!!

  • imagine being able to tap into the 5th and 6th dimension. man, i would see the so many different things I would've been if I didn't change my life's path every-so-often 0_0

  • i love over analyzing things like this

  • i think this video just raped my mined. It could be possible in one of these dimension!

  • Mind Raped

  • I know this will be an unpopular opinion here, but I don't think dimensions actually exist. I think they're just a concept we've come up with for explaining space and time. We use the "2 dimensional being" concept to explain how higher dimensions look to beings in lower dimensions, but here's the rub: 2-dimensional beings don't exist. 2-dimensional would just be imaginary. What makes anyone think higher dimensions aren't just imaginary too? I know it's just theory, so why give it such credence?

  • @highrollin2 Be careful when using the term "theory". A theory is not a hypothesis. The theory of relativity is not something that hasn't been proven yet. It is one of the most proven facts in the history of science. Only quantum physics has more experimental evidence. Theory describes what is real and makes mathematical verification of what experimental results tell us. For something to graduate from hypothesis to theory it must be validated in the lab.

  • I'm an atheist, but I have to say: watching this video, I now understand the tendancy a lot of people have to look at science and just say, "Ah, fuck it... God did it. That's good enough for me."

  • @highrollin2 Its why I'm an agnostic. :)

  • My mind has been fucked from both sides!!!

  • There's an arrow in my knee in the 5th dimension.

  • Mined Fucked!

  • owwwww my head

  • I fucking love being a nerd.

  • I used to watch videos in 480, 720, and 1080p then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • Furthermore... this is sooo easy to marturbate to!

And I still have no arrow in the knee in this point of 3rd dimension.

  • @galenlynore Wonderful comment.

  • we got to the tenth dimension using our logic. We would go beyond, but only if we imagine another dot... of other kind of logic.

  • Actually I disagree with most of this video. From about the fifth dimension he goes into bullshit/speculation mode.

  • @valvarexart I agree, its a huge differenance to say "this is what something may possibly be, although it may be completly wrong" and "this is what something is". Everything above 4 demensions is based on nothing more than speculation and assumptions, and absolutly zero fact... Absolutly nothing presented from the 5th demension on has been tested studied or is even understood! All of this speculation is created on our experiance in this dimension...

  • at about 04:55 he says something that is heavily biased upon certain theories. He implies that there can be different futures, although this has never been proven. In fact, there are many, like me, who do not believe that we have free choice or that a random factor exists. I believe everything that happens in the future is as a strict and linear consequence of what has happened in the past and there can be no branchings. Reply if you want further explanation or discussion.

  • @valvarexart i have existed therefore i will always exist

  • So here's what is not being understood... All possibilities are held in the first infinity...

What this means is.. We look to other Galaxies and as far can be determined they are all their own big bangs that could have different environments than our own Galaxy. There is no reason to assume that our Galaxy exists in a universe.. More to the point every galaxy is a universe.

  • ARGH!!! MY BRAIN IS F**CKED!!!

  • Technically we can only see 2 dimensions, and flat landers would see 1 dimensions. This video makes lots of wild claims that aren't supported by scientific data. I think it's really interesting-- I wish it were better supported. It simply isn't scientific. It gives a hypothesis without supporting evidence.

  • @supersecretroom quantum physics/mechanics is a theory.

  • @davidfunk135 its a theory that is used in engineering so it has been experimentally verified and applied to technology.

  • @supersecretroom look up string theory. this video is a very simplified explanation of string theory. unfortunately string theory is purely mathematical and cant be experimentally proven.

  • 7:29- everything after the big bang was nothing but chemical reactions so only one timeline can naturally occur unless intelligent life (us in a million years, ex.) goes back across the 4th dimension and meddles with the first few thousand years of the universe. There can only be one end for the universe (simply a straight line in 4d) unless 3d beings travel in the 4th dimension and alter the original chemical composition of the universe, hence likely erasing themselves from existence

  • i'm way too high for this

  • I HAVE A QUESTION! At the beginning he is telling me that there is a point, imaginary- with no dimension. Then he goes on to say that the point indicates a position... Well okay if the point indicates a position then it has to either be in a dimension itself or it is a dimension. It cant be something and nothing at the same time. If it is nothing then everything else is nothing, if it is something everything else has to be 1 dimension more because it is already a dimension its self?

  • @Yonggbaek Not necessarily. Imaginary things are part of a dimension. Thought is part and parcel of a dimension. And things do exists and not exist at the same time. It's all conceptual.

  • @Yonggbaek a point only makes sense when applied in a dimension. A point in 1d has 1 coordinate of information, in 2d it has two coordinates, in 3d it has three, and so on. It is an imaginary construct to represent a specific position in a dimensional space. A point without any dimension is of no use at all.

  • 2:31 - 2:34

    Now you're thinking with Portals.

  • @Reilley302 YES

  • very cool and thought provoking

  • Reminds me of the book Hyperspace...the author talked about Flatlanders too.

  • I have an perfect explanation for this but it's ten paragraphs long :| if anyone is interested msg me and i'll explain it.

  • @14Infernos88Dragon I think I want it.

  • This just makes me want to do DMT :(

  • now my head hurts....

  • Want to see the 4th dimension? DMT.

  • i Dont get it...

  • @ElBjarnos it's explained pretty simply man, try watching it again

  • @ElBjarnos try drugs

  • @iWentToNam

If Weed Is Enough, I Still Don't get it!!

  • @ElBjarnos I got it and I am sober.

  • @14Infernos88Dragon

Yh but i'm not 1 of the smartest :p

  • @ElBjarnos Not everyone is, Would you like for me to explain it to you in inbox?

  • @14Infernos88Dragon

NH i thinks its funny to see if u dont get it XD

  • Nh I like not getting it.. cause that's funnier XD

  • @ElBjarnos How is it funny you don't understand something that is true and can happen with enough spiritual enlightenment?

  • @14Infernos88Dragon There are only 4 dimensions XD

So i Don't care if there are people who think there are 10 dimensions XD

And I dont get it but i dont care XD

  • Are we ready for Paradox Mathematics.

  • Hehehe awesome. These conversations are what I was Looking for. I need more friend who understand this.

  • Why are the first 3 dimensions spatial while the others represent different variables?

  • this is ridiculous. everything on earth has a width, even a line. so everything is 3D. i dont understand the ant as a 2D creatute. ants are 3D. imagine this, imagine, that. c'mon. he even says an 'impossibly flat playing card'. so what is he saying exactly? imagine impossibility? OK! i can imagine it, but it's absurd.

  • @slavek20 Remember when he says you have to imagine that all in one dot to create a higher dimension? Well since we see in 3D, we also have length width and depth, but he is talking about an ant that sees in 2D, only length and width.

  • Dude, imagine watching this when you're blazed; that would be un-fucking-real.

  • read slaughterhouse-five and learn about the 4th dimension from the Tralfamadorians

  • WHAT. THE. FUCK.

  • I don't really get the deep meaning of this.

Anyway in my opinion, tenth dimension is everything... and nothing at the same time.

  • I have a theory on the edge of the universe and where its at. OK so if in the second dimension a flatlander can travel across a third dimensional surface and feel as if its going straight when its actually curving across a dimension it can't perceive, then what if the universe has an edge, but like the flatlander we don't move in the dimension that would get us out of the universe. So the edge of the universe would be in the 7th dimension.

  • I got to be the first reaction to this interesting clip and picked incredible because that's what it is

  • i think its hilarious that quantum physicists think they understand all the unknown dimensions of the universe yet we cant even travel out of our microscopic solar system; we dont understand 99% of the scientific phenomena on planet earth, aka "3rd" dimension, let alone the other "9" dimensions. how can we possibly understand any other dimension if we don't fully understand our own? my quantum physics class in college was neat but a bunch of theoretical hooplah.

  • @fishncrips123

    Smoke a dick

  • I understand the basis of it but if I had to explain it then I would be lost.

  • I really enjoyed that presentation.

  • 34 people are christians.

  • i did understand at first. I am proud.

  • @buffboynick

String Theory IS NOT the same thing as the Multi-verse theory.

String Theory is the study of multiple dimensions tightly bound at a sub-quantum level. The Multi-verse theory is a belief in separate, parallel universes which are produced through quantum collisions, where the relay is determined by probability rather than Newtonian physics. A lot of people believe that a different dimension is a different universe, but they're far from being the same.

  • If you can't have the eleventh dimension because you can't have more than one collection of all possible timelines for all of the possible universes, then why are there two videos about the eleventh dimension in the related videos?

Would the eleventh dimension be a line joining two points in the tenth dimension? If so then a eleventh dimension shouldn't be possible right? You would need two points in the tenth dimension, which isn't possible because one point is already EVERYTHING ever possible.

  • @shamadooee what if everything possible happened on an atom of an object in the eleventh?

  • @InfernalArms22 You realize that an atom is 3-dimensional. If everything possible happens on a POINT in the tenth dimension you can't get any smaller than that.

  • @shamadooee or is that 3d atom is just a cross section of higher dimensions of itself..

  • @InfernalArms22 Whaaaaat? Please write English.

  • @shamadooee Whaat? please ignore that second is, jackass

I thought of that sentecne as "What if that 3d atom is; or is that 3d atom just. That better?

  • Is it possible that two of these dimensions like the third dimension and the 7th dimension could randomly intersect each other in a random location causing us to see what would be their or what was their? My Email is Spencerlacour@yahoo.com

    Please respond to this.

  • I'm so high.

  • lil deuce brought me here

  • I think his view on the 4th dim is wrong. One thing is that because of zenos paradox wouldnt the "snake" be infinitely long.

  • @JKJ1900 not exactly, they are just contained within the tenth dimension. Each. Infinity is stll infinitely large, namely because of the presence of time, which opens up more infinities each second.

  • @JKJ1900.

  • So then infinity is finite?

  • @JKJ1900 it's infinite but there can be different infinities.

  • I'm curious why theres a tenth dimension when it is basically just the 9nth dimension.

  • Mind Fuck.

  • I got confused at the 6th dimension. But still, interesting video.

  • So what's the 11th dimension?

  • 32 ignorant uneducated mindless fools

  • 11 minutes in length, BUT THERES ONLY 10 DIMENSIONS!!!!!!

im sorry after all that i can now see links everywhere

    or maybe im just paranoid

  • @trickyman45 0 dimention

  • mindfuck

  • I feel so horribly small and unimportant after learning things like this...

  • when explaining the 4th dimension he mentions if we were to see ourselves we would see a long string life from embryo to death. I was pondering this and wondered why would the string "image" stop at death does it cease to exist after we loose consciousness? Could the timeline not extend to when we rot in the ground and possibly fertilize a plant and see that plant die or feed a bird and what not? If this is not possible why does the 4th dimension "string" cease to exist when we die

  • @greenpez198 this is true but you would have a different history/future for every atom in your body at any time

  • @greenpez198 omg genius

  • @greenpez198

Maybe we repeat our lives after we die, repeating our life over and over again exactly as it happened.

  • @greenpez198 This whole video relates waaaaaay too much to human life. An explanation from a scientific view would have been a lot more appreciated.

  • @greenpez198 I think if we cant comprehend the beginning of the universe then it must have always existed. Energy can not be created nor destroyed and something must have caused us to be here. As you can see in the video if you were to fold a piece of paper in circle, that represents a complete timeline of your life cycle. And thats just what it is. A cycle.

  • Even if someone did have a scientific reason for the start of the universe, we could still ask the same question... "what caused that?" Therefore the cause is its effect and the cycle goes on infinately.

  • @tphill1000 No, it doesn't. Before the universe existed, there was no time. No time, no cause and effect. Therefore, the universe does not need a cause. Well, I'm paraphrasing Stephen Hawking on that one.

  • @CrystalSoulslayer

According to String Theory there are multiple universes and multiple dimensions

According to a concept known as an "infinite causality loop" there is no beginning and no end to existence because everything is related through energy

Therefore our existence in this 3rd dimension could technically cause our own reality by setting off a chain of events that leads to the beginning of this particular time and space.

Other dimensional beings could be the alternate versions of us

  • @buffboynick String theory only proclaims that multiple dimensions can exist, not that they have to exist. String theory is mathematics that started in attempts to describe experiments of inelastic scattering. It lost out to quark theory.

  • @greenpez198 -as he actually demonstrates, we are not snakes but trees :)

...and as for your POV question we have to ask ourselves who is the one who 'sees' - I think I'll leave that one to Horus ;)

  • @greenpez198 yeah I think technically since that line goes to infinite in both directions and possibly in all directions it would go from the begging to the end of the atoms (or smaller) that make you you and seeing the 4th dimension would include seeing all possibilties for you

  • @greenpez198

Perception. It is because he is explaining the dimensions based upon our perception of those dimensions. Because we are not alive to perceive our experience of a dimension beyond our death, he does not include the duration of any additional benefit or detriment to life around us. If we assumed that our "time" line extends beyond our death, we could argue that that line could continue infinitely since the atoms that were once "us'" would still exist and be re-purposed indefinitely.

  • @greenpez198 the theory itself is very interesting. however you bring up a great point.his example however was a metaphor. he said the 4th dimension was Duration or Time. it could be a "string" but it would be a string from the beginning of time to the end of the universe. possibly never ending. however most scientists agree that the universe is made up of space time and matter. at the end of the universe. it is possible that time itself will end.

  • @KuppinCasual suppose we believe in the multiverse. could time end for one universe and not another? could there be a higher dimension of time in 4d hyperspace outside the universe around us? because i'm just thinking about a question like if the time in the universe ends does that mean that time in hyperspace ends too?

  • @brandeezy108 yes, time could end for one and not another. suppose we believe in the multiverse theory why would they have to synchronize times. A higher dimension of time? possibly, but I doubt it. I do think however that the universe is made up of Matter, Space, and Time. to lose one is to not have a universe.

  • @greenpez198

A life is used as an example to demonstrate time. The 4th dimension is simply time, from x to z in time.

  • FUCK THE TENTH DEMENSION

  • THIS MAKES LIFE COMPLICATED

  • THIS MAKES LIFE COMLICATED

  • Mind -> Blown. Great video!

  • so the tenth dimension is also zero dimensions...that's some Inception shit, right there.

  • Please excuse me whilst my head explodes

  • You get LOST after the 5th... like the Wtf.

  • AHHHHH MY BRAIN!!!!!

  • MY HEAD! IT HURTS!

  • It's not that mindblowing. Just takes some time and contemplation to get used to.

  • what...

  • I got lost after the 5th. lol

  • MIND = BLOWN

  • so is watching a video recording of something (which is obviously of the past) are we indirectly experiencing the 4th dimension?

  • "renown" is the proper spelling__FACT

I spelled it right. Look it up for yourself

lethally-retarded should be your screen name

  • @buffboynick You will need to give me a website that shows this.

  • @buffboynick Please note that when you write something on a thread, it might be marked as spam, this seems to happen a lot to you. The last bit makes you sound like a fundamentalist egomaniacal retard.

  • @buffboynick Um, if you use spell check all the time then why do you often type "then' when "than" makes more sense?

  • @buffboynick If I should be called lethally-retarded, how is it I know more mathematics than you?

  • @lethalsub

    startup a car engine.....

then suck on the tailpipe until you see the magic man lol

  • @buffboynick Where is this website? I looked up "world renown scientist" and I got "world renowned scientist".

Oh, you might win this one, I'll give you a flying chance, as I'll admit I know very little about string theory.

A superstring expert like yourself should find this very simple:

Take an Euclidean vector space of eleven dimensions, a vector emanating from the origin has eleven equal components of one unit. What is the length of this vector?

  • @lethalsub

    never have kids!

  • @buffboynick Are you scared of answering my questions? I thought they were fairly straightforward.

  • @buffboynick Well they got spammed, lol.

  • @buffboynick Physicist of world wide renown, that sounds a bit better to me.

English comprehension is not my area of expertise, but it looks to me like the word renown is used incorrectly within the sentence.

Insults do not prove your prowess in any area.

  • @buffboynick Okay, this question is really easy. If you know any basic astronomy you should know this one.

How long does it take for the Earth to complete one revolution on its axis?

  • @lethalsub 23 hours and 56 minuts.

  • @HRomega Oh, thanks a lot!

You just gave buffboynick the arch retard the right answer. At least you have the right idea.

Yep, 23 hours, 56 minutes (and 4 seconds, approximately), otherwise known as its stellar day.

  • @buffboynick I'm sorry, I think I've made you upset.

  • @buffboynick "Atoms = particles generated from the 4th dimension"

"Nothing of "physical" form can exist in the upper dimensions (dimensions 4 thru 10)"

    Quotes from Mr Retard, "FACT".

It sounds like you are contradicting yourself. I've decided it is unfair to call you a retard, 'the arch-retard' is more apt.

  • @buffboynick Well, if you have kids, I would avoid helping them with their maths homework, they will end up as mathematically retarded as yourself. Get me to teach them instead, with any luck they might manage to solve Riemann's Hypothesis (If it is actually possible to prove it).

PS Why aren't you talking to me?

  • @buffboynick Well that would be pointless, I don't know how to drive.

  • step one: push play

step two: let mind be blown for next 11 minutes

  • f the tenth dimension

  • yea we watched this in Philosophy class today... basically everyone is calling it a mindfuckery.... lol I mostly understand it I think... I'll watch it a again a few times lol XD

  • @SillyNerdify stfu

  • Michio Kaku did NOT invent String Theory nor the concept of MultiVerses......you DOLT!
