Albinism is a genetic defect characterized by the body's inability to produce melanin. Though white persons have lighter skin than africans, white people produce much melanin, though only half of that of a very dark african person.

This is how a white person and black person has a mulatto baby who is lighter than the black parent and darker than the white parent. Albinos cannot produce mulatto offspring because albinism is recessive. They can only produce albino or fully pigmented offspring.

i had a friend who was partialy albino
