Wow! I remember when I used to sing along to that song "I'm in Love With You" when I was a little girl at 7 years old in 1991. I still like that song, though. El DeBarge is my favorite singer in the world. I wasn't born in 1982 when the song came out, and then I was born in 1984. Great song.

I remember purchasing this LP back in high school with my allowance. I use to play this song almost daily because I loved the latin sound. To me it was the most unique song on the album. After seeing the DeBarges on TV One's "UnSung", I'm absolutely amazed how a family who's been through so many obstacles could be so talented and gifted. Next the the Jacksons, this family gave African Americans like me hope to be the best that I can be! Thanks El, Bunny, James, Mark and Randy!!!

All this brings back so many memories. I remembered purchasing this lp! I makes me cry to listen to this remembering all the good times I had with my siblings listening to this! Ah, the sounds of the early 80's. I was born in '82, but I remember being surrounded by great joints like this throughout the decade. I love how the artists of that post-disco era tried to find a sound that would define the 80's, but they never lost touch with the heart & soul that makes a great song a classic. Soothing melodies, stellar vocals, danceable instrumentals. An indescriable warmth. You hear it in tunes by Denice Williams, Luther Vandross, Junior, the Gap Band, Dayton, DeBarge, etc.

When I purchased this album, of course it was on the strength of "I Like It" and "All This Love". I remember after wearing those two songs out, I decided to give the others a listen. I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon "I'm In Love With You". Soon as I heard El's soft and smooth intro, I picked up the needle to hear it again and again. This group was so terribly, terribly under-valued 'til it's not even funny. "There'll Never Be..." another family/group like DeBarge.
