  • imagine this to a beutiful car:GO CRASH BOOM! that is whut i did to a porsche in dis game >:D

  • @robloxKenji15 There aren't any Porsche's in GT5.

  • @kvabate there called ruf's mate for gt5

  • @Nathworrall12 Oh ha thanks man I didn't even know that they were there.

  • nice AE86 vs FT86, Toyota remember one of his better cars.

  • huh?, i wish to know what track is that 1:09

  • Toyobaru :)

  • @KayC2SLO you're right.that kid is so retarded We all know the even the 5a-8a engines didn't even reach 200 hp. Even though the silver top tuned by TRD could top out around 240 hp it wasn't legal in the a streets and was only used in the fictional initial d and one actual person

  • A great looking toyota with a fantastic subaru boxer engine sounds remarkable.

  • U get this car free when you finish a race early in the game

  • Who knew Toyota was able to actually make a beautiful high performance car?

  • @Anoush13 Apparently you've never seen the Toyota Supra Mark IV....

  • @Anoush13 look at the 2000gt-------

  • @Anoush13

    huh can you say Supra?

  • @Anoush13 all japanese makers can, but they have a problem, due to some japanese cars regulations, the cant make cars with high CO 2 emisions, etc etc, thats why almost all jap sports cars are v4-v6, anyway, with a v6 engine, the GT-R can Beat a V10 M3 or R8, Ferrari 599 and some others cars.

jap guys make the best cars, high performance with less.

  • @Anoush13 Supra?

  • I hope the Smoke is a concept too!

  • They should've just got the blueprints out for the AE-86 and just build it again. Except this time with stability and traction control that can be turned fully of just so you can drift and ect. Still needs esc cause rain + people who thinks skidding on a surface is dangerous=sue toyota for a car that can drift

  • They took the sound from the original 4A-GE and used it for this video. It is like the honda b16, you can tell it apart from any other engine in the world (stock trim of course)

  • Was that Eiger Nordwand?

  • @Todis51 it looks like el capitan.

  • @thesurgeon i dont think el capitan made it to gt5. but as someone who lived most of my life in northern california and have been to yosemite more times than i can count, im going to miss that track :( i didnt like the rally course, but the road course was so awesome.

  • not a big fan off japan sportscars. i very much dislike the 300 series from nissan and the honda coupes and the toyota celicas were never very cool. ill give you the supra was nice.

  • @adulby Actually I feel the same. My favorite Japanese super car would be the 370z, and GT-R is rubbish in my mind. I own a Japanese car, so I'm not saying I don't like them, just their super cars have no style.

  • @kiralynn72 wtf is initial D style?

  • Why didn't they put a 4-AGEU in there. Way better than some boxer engine thingy

  • @alexlam24 Are you stupid?

  • @Sweepy270DX Do you know what a 4-AGEU engine is? it's a touring car engine that was specifically made for AE-86 trueno. 244 whp for you

  • @alexlam24 Turbocharge Boxer 2.0 with aprox. 250hp? Hmmmmm...

  • @alexlam24 shut the fuck up you initial d fanboy. that's not what's inside the toyobaru now go play with your 4-ag someplace else.

  • @KayC2SLO stupid its the 4AGE that makes 130Hp. LOOK AT THE MOTORSPORTS SECTION ASSHOLE

  • @alexlam24 4A-GEU Application: AE86 (84-85) General: DOHC Belt Valves per Cylinder: 4 Capacity 1587cc Bore x Stroke: 81.0 x 77.0 Compression Ratio: 9.4 Fuel Requirements: 87 Chamber Flow: cross flow Max power (hp): 130@6600 JIS* Max torque (kg/cm): 15.2@5200* even the ones in the aw111 make the same power. FUCK YOU STUPID INITIAL D DICK RIDER.
  • @KayC2SLO The rear wheel drive configuration, combined with the AE86's light weight (approximately 2300 lb (950–970 kg) curb weight), balance and relatively powerful (and easy to tune) 4A-GEU engine made it popular among the Japanese hashiriya (street racers in Japanese), many of whom raced in mountain passes (touge in Japanese) where the corners suited the AE86 best, especially on the downhill

  • @alexlam24 stupid idiot, that has nothing to do with the fact that the 4a-ge is the generalization of the line of engines. the strongest STOCK 4a [in the corolla line] is the 20v blacktop which came in the ae111s which were fwd. fucking get your facts right bastard

  • @KayC2SLO Well sorry but youtube wont let me put website facts up stupid bastard that fucks his mom in a motel with a cheap condom.

  • @alexlam24 oh and it came stock at around 170 hp. -_- fuckin' fanboy.

  • @KayC2SLO THE 4AGE DIDN'T HAVE FUCKING 170HP. CARS BACK THEN COULDNT EVEN PRODUCE 150 WITH A 4 CYLIDER ENGINE. GO BACK TO DRIVING YOUR CRAPPY LITTLE KIA.

  • Comment removed

  • @alexlam24 whoops, i meant 20v blacktop. same shit, you still don't know what you're on. shut the fuck up already.

  • @alexlam24 what else? oh yeah, the fuckin 3S-GTE made in the celica gt four which was made in the 80's puts up a whopping 18XHP stock, of course that's including the factory turbo, which also moots your accusation of 4 cylinders not being able to kick past 150 hp. dude you're fucking retarded, i can keep going on and on - just accept you're an ignorant shit and this'll all end

  • @alexlam24 fucking retard, i bet anything you're looking at the fuckin' turbo mr2's engine. fucking stupid idiot, and 224kW is equivalent to 300 HP. fucking dumbass fanboy. quit riding anime dick

  • @KayC2SLO Look, just shut the hell up. I'm getting really annoyed by the shit you're saying. Just accept the fact that the 4AGEU engine was a 244HP N/A engine that was made for touring car races before it was replaced by the MR2 GTS in the 90's.

  • @alexlam24 really annoyed at the shit I'M saying? fuckin' pay attention to yourself. nobody fucking cares what you say. you're wrong, and that's that. also, the 4a-gze is completely different. 4a-gelu is also ≠ 4a-geu. also, cry moar.

  • @KayC2SLO GO ON WIKIPEDIA AND TYPE IN AE86 AND LOOK AT THE MOTORSPORTS SECTION DUMBASS.

  • @alexlam24 quit talkin' out your ass, you don't know SHIT about toyota's A engine's. fuckin' chode.

  • @alexlam24 try and fuckin' prove me wrong fagbag. it just states the 4a-geu[which once again as i said earlier was the base engine in any ae86] was popular among japanese locals due to the easy tunability of the engine. now, what you DON'T know, you fuckin' red riding hood, is that it was used in motorsports because of that fact. it's not a "4A-GEU TOURING ENGINE". stupid troll. CRY MOAR.

  • @alexlam24 by the way you fucking initial d theorist, the 4a-geu was standard among the ae-86 chassis, and only produced a max of 130hp from it's N/A engine. It's not a "touring car engine" - it was just used in the series because of it's reliability and easy power. fuck -_-

  • @Sweepy270DX he is. just another 15 year old kid horny for a 2-toned AE-86 that he wouldn't know what to do with.

  • @Sweepy270DX The rear wheel drive configuration, combined with the AE86's light weight (approximately 2300 lb (950–970 kg) curb weight), balance and relatively powerful (and easy to tune) 4A-GEU engine made it popular among the Japanese hashiriya (street racers in Japanese), many of whom raced in mountain passes (touge in Japanese) where the corners suited the AE86 best, especially on the downhill

  • Basically a rwd celica. Very dissapointed at Toyota. I mean a sport car with 200hp isn't really a sport car. Toyota has gone backward so bad. They should just come back with the 98 supra 2jz with improve interior, now that's what I call sport car.

  • @Alphabuck I'm sure Subaru will put a Turbo on it and sell an STi version.

  • @Plisken1986 and that's something i'm afraid of. ): but another thing that comes to mind is.. subaru will no longer be the only manufacturer to feature a full 4wd line of vehicles if/when they release the toyobaru under their name to us domestic residents... that = </3

  • this car doesnt have a engine yet! how do they know what it sounds like??? thats not reality at all!

  • Too bad Toyota announced that the FT-86 is not going to look like this and is going to be very expensive...

  • @PijnigeR no, the ft-86 is aimed to be affordable, mainly at older teens or drifters. did you not listen to legit interviews? -__-;;

  • i love the original AE86...this new FT86 needs to die an all the consepts an blue prints an shit except for the original ae86 blueprints an they should built the AE86 again an call it that....then ppl would run back to toyota...oh an fiz that pedal problem...like run various...i mean VARIOUS test before you realse it lol

  • front = 350z ripoff

  • no way, have you every seen the last celica?

  • I thought this was going to be called "FT-HS" (Future Toyota Hybrid Sport)......

  • @AzNgiftedkid thats the supra with that name

  • theres alot of sr5s on craigslist. make sure you get a gts or you will be very sorry. to make sure its a gts, a good signal is the engine. if its SOHC carberated run. if its twin cam then ur probably good to go

  • FT-16 was the first sport toyota corrola. The AE 86 came later. Now they combined FT and 86.

  • FT- 86 = Flamboyant Turtle

  • toyota ft-86...we'll see what happens next!

  • what does FT-86 stand for?

    Future Takumi - 86?

  • future toyota

  • such a nice car, way nicer than the ft-hs

not a fan of the tail lights though...

  • I reckon this car looks awesome. This is obviously trying to be the new AE86, to revive a cult car for Toyota.

The engine is a subaru boxter engine (similar to a WRX) This is because Toyota is the majority share holder in Subaru now.

FT-86 is still early concept, but I wonder if it will be released for sale before Gran Turismo 5. About time they stop mucking around and get this game on the shelves

  • the ae86 is actually a toyota corolla hatchback. This is its successor. Anyone watch initial D?

  • hell yeah, brilliant show, hope they make the next stage soon ;)

  • yeah, the manga's out, it looks really good.

  • I do :D

This is the new 86 but the old one will be in gt5 too. in 5 years when im 17 im gonna get a toyota corolla. i hope i can though :(

  • You can get it when you are 16. I plan on getting one too.

  • I thought they wouldent be any left

but how could you get one they so rare now thats why im worried in 5 years i no get one :(

  • theres a lot on craigslist

  • no F way !

  • 1:10 look at the mountains to the side, these graphics suck, completely unacceptable for ps3

  • lol this game has been optimized to shit but you can't get around small space for Textures

  • @rantarave

I just think if you are going to put 120% effort into making the vehicles look and feel real, don't half ass the levels, you know?

Its like a making a diamond necklace with wood beads and hemp string. who does that???

  • yeah but the PS3 only has 256MB of V-RAm it not like its a PC which has 1 gb

    textures have to shrink

but im not bashing the pc or this game this game is amazingly optimised it should be a benchmark for every game developer.

  • is the first track "Grand Valley"???

  • i dont care what you say. the "TRUEno Eight-Six" is never the TRUE 86' with FT.

  • I keep expecting the driver in the car behind it to get out and sell tofu aka Initial D style.

  • 1st time I have ever seen a GT vid that has a driver w/no helmet.

  • Another "sportser" that ma go 0-60 in 6 seconds or so... I LOVE Toyota, but,

How about a REAL high performance car instead of another sports roaster. Too many Roadsters already!

Hyundai Genesis, Mitsubishi eclipse, pontiac solstice, saturn sky (plenty of used + new ones are available still) Scoin TC coupe (v6), Cobalt SS, MazdaSpeed3, VW GTI...

How about a REAL performance car Toyota!!!

  • they will have electric cars in gran turismo

  • @ff8123 scion is toyota

  • i know.

  • yea true but they are re inventing a hero car for them. much like any american manufacturer these days. at least they made it look different instead of making the same car look modern and thinking its totally different

  • No,it is a hero car. They are not reinventing the Celica, they are reinventing the Trueno Sprinter AE86 aka Toyota Corolla GTS in america. The thing is, even though it may not have much power(well I have no idea of the specs) of a fairlady, that means the 0-60, it has all great FR advantages.

When this car hits the market, toyota's going to make some serious money, if nothing goes wrong.

  • Trueno was indeed an amazing car.

  • as reck101101 said, it isnt the celica they are reinventing. its the AE-86 Sprinter corolla. i dont know why people are saying this is a new celica when clearly the 86 means corolla. and im sure that if toyota saw a market in building a car that would compete in the same class as the 370 they would. and yes the camaro looks modern like i said. much like the new challenger. but dodge ane chevrolet think they have created a totally different car with a few basic hints at the old. which they havent

  • thats not the point.

this is a car for everyone at 20,000

  • It is true, in the US market they have considered naming the Celica. lets just hope it keeps the name of the corolla since i dont that name at all. but if its a celica i wont think twice about buying it since im a picky hoe.

  • wtf that looked real

  • DON'T feed the troll, Dumbass, but any ways this game is gonna be awesome :)

  • Its called an FT-86 for a reason. Its the successor to the Original AE-86.. So naming it celica or making it AWD might be out of the question.. Unless its not going to have the "86" designation.

  • I heard they might bring back the Celica name for this car.

  • Any rumors on what the name of the production model of this car will be? They ought to keep it FT-86.

  • Fuckin aye, that game looks so epic.

  • its a boxer engine. i read in top gear that there might be a ft-86 turbo version. but toyota has not leaked any details. so far it will be a small, drifter, and surprisingly good enough for rally. but who knows, i hope they have a turbo AWD. good news it's suppose to be under 20,000$.

  • wow, that scene with the AE86 and FT86... that was beautiful. I was nearly speechless! Can't wait to put my deposit down on the new 86. :D

  • @g30rg10 apparently the name of the car comes out to Fujiwara Takumi 86 (hachi-roku)

  • everyone here is just talking nonesense.

  • the only car that wear a boxer! ... one bad ass car in a badass game! I hate you sony! lol!

  • Is it me or does that track at 1:15 look like Grindelwald from GT2?

  • Badass!

  • this is a concept but its been lookin the same for like i think 2yrs now i heard they were remakin the supra and basicaally thats what its suppose to be basically but anyway looks awesome hoppefully i can pull 20000$ for this baby

  • no guys, the Ft86 is a 2 litre flat 4, made by subaru.

  • AE-86 v.s. FT86 WOW i have to see the drift king race that race

  • to me the ft86 sounds more like a 4AG instead of a boxer...the way it should be

  • To make this car, they took the look from the FT-HS( future toyota hybrid sport) and the the lexus IS-F...soo pretty but they have to put in a l6 twin turbo...same as supra...that will rocks soo much!

  • what is the song name?

  • something from the polyphony soundtrack

  • Looks pretty dope but I think they canned the FT-Sh concept car for this. I THINK, I'm not sure. But I think this is pretty sick. I also hear there's no turbo version in the U.S. lame, but I'm still gonna get one :P

  • they canned the ft-hs to this yeah and its probably only gonna cost around 20000usd thats quite a nice price for a car like that...but i liked the looks and "feel" about the ft-hs more

  • Comment removed

  • should be since they've discontinued the supra. I also hope they don't put a stupid S badge on it. We've all seen a Corolla S, and it doesn't stand for Sport; more like Spoiler, which is really the only difference between the S and the LE/CE.

  • The lexus LFA is what they came up with.

  • I have to agree with JoshuaBlaziken. Toyota spent all this time after discontinuing the supra and THIS is all they came up with? Another damn four cylinder engine car? Granted, its has a subaru engine, but from what I've read its supposed to produce only 170 horsepower, which is the same as the corolla XRS. I only hope that toyota grows a pair, and puts a V6 in this thing if it hits production. Toyota's kept us waiting too damn long for something that actually represents what a sports car

  • i wish they would of kept their old ft-hs instead with the 450hp v6 hybrid(i think it was a v6)

  • IMO, looks a lot like the VW Scirocco.

  • The car is alright, but all I've really taken in during this video is... what I hope are NEW SKID SOUNDS :D. About time. :P

  • looks like a bmw m6 cross mazda rx8 cross nissan skyline gtr.

  • i see more of an RX-7 resemblance then RX-8 from the back. I agree with the skyline tho

  • Despite the unpleasant side hood view and back window look... I'd say its an ok car...iexpect a lttle more from Toyota though.

  • omfg takumi tax will be the ruin of this production car.. such a shame they felt they needed to name the concept after the AE86 which was, really, a basic standard small family people mover..

  • it's a shame they needed to? Toyota is proud of their AE-86 corolla and chassis and what it meant for regular people as well as enthusiasts. that's why they use the 86 moniker.

  • AAAAA! AE86!!!

  • AE86 is awesome! Initial D! Nice remake. Doesn't really look anything like it though.

  • How is it that were watching a video if a game and a car and suddenly theres a domestics vs. import battle? What you all fail to realize is that each car is built basically for the conditions, in japan narrow roads lots of turns, in turn cars with great handling and good efficiency, In Europe, more room but still twisty, n turn cars with lots of power but still small and handle well, America Wide open Spaces,Big cars with high hp but no so well on the handling side, this is talking STOCK

  • Sure any car can be made to do anything with money time and determination. I'm not taking sides i drive all of them, i have a 90 Chevy sport truck sitting in my driveway right next to an over-boosted mini cooper s next to a s14 240, check my vids, what can i tell you? There all great cars they have all lasted and i drive them hard, course my tires don't appreciate that but thats something u sacrifice

  • considering that the mustang got almost next to identical skid pad and slalom results I doubt that american cars handle bad. Sure, they may not be as great as the japs in handling, but that is definitely do to weight issues. Still greats cars come from both sides

  • Yea but its only recently that american cars have started to up the handling side of things, Your right it is mostly due to weight, but im lookin at like a 95 camaro stock vs a stock 95 240sx, the camaro will take it in the straight any corners and its all 240sx, Just the mind set american have had we want big power loud engine, Japanese are more technical it has to work and be efficient. I can appreciate any car be it an old rat rod a ferrari or a a ae86. They all do what there built for!!

  • 86 vs 86!

  • You fuckholes! The reason why american cars dont sell is because there are aloy of smart people in this country. Now why will i buy a effin camaro that looks like ass if i can buy this awsome boxer engine car? Sure you can pick up white chix with a camaro but ill be the one tailing you when your car breaks down.

  • ????? Smart people in what country, because if you say america I am appalled at such ignorance.

  • Yea Forsha your comment makes no sense, you can pick up "white chix" in any car that looks nice, unless they got a thing for camaros, and why would be tailing him when he breaks down? American cars arent built weak, Yea the boxer engine is more effective, but it doesnt make it a better car then a camaro. And calling people names on youtube only goes to show Your arrogance.

  • American cars and Japanese cars are special in their own way. lol

  • European cars are great too.

Never forget Aston Martin - The most beautiful cars ever (In my opinion :P)

  • couldn't agree more

  • I would buy this car if it was under Lexus tag :) but the price should stay at around $20000 (it's announced) and not $70000 like the rest of the Lexus'

  • I wonder what it will be called. Trueno?

  • Lol

  • w w w . initialft86 . c o m - Online community for Toyota FT-86 News, Information, and Future Owners

  • has anyone tried to drive all the nice American cars on a mountain giong down hill? hope you don't fall off when you are turning! ;P

power doesn't mean all of it, the point of driving is balance~

  • fuck america and its cars you all make al lot of noise and think ure the best in the world but fuck that

  • Not the best at making cars.

  • Hell yes for the Boxer Engine! =D

  • American cars are only good at going in a straight line, but put it on a race track and its gonna hit a wall....HAHAHA

  • Hmm.... flaming aside. Looks good bit sounds a little off. I think Polyphony Digital may need to do a little more homework on the engine sound. Still sounds like a 4AG-E. There's no way a 2.0L boxter would sound anything like that, should sound more like a WRX.

  • such as?

  • not impressed

  • Yeah, you say that because you can't think of any good jap cars. They're all little piece of crap 4 cyl. cars that can barely make it up a hill.

  • are u ignorant or just plain stupid... Drifting was invented by the Japanese... on the mountains, which I assume you would understand to be "big hills" using the same 4 cylinder cars you mentioned. American cars are loud and waste gas, that's about it man. And dude, Asian cars last a hell of a long time, which is why there are so many 15+ year older used Japanese cars being imported daily.

  • your first sentence isn't a proper sentence either... retard. American cars can't do shit but make the driver look like a 50 year old that wants to be young again. Oddly enough the new camaro was designed my a korean, and I notice you listed that in ur list of american beauties. haha. Asian cars are cheaper, many are nicely designed, they have a huge after market support, and they're just plain reliable. American cars... are great if you have money to burn. and I'm not a fast and furious kid.

  • American cars can't do shit? We got the fastest production car in the world right now The Camaro was not designed by a Korean, maybe the body, but it's all American where it counts. Asian cars really aren't that inexpensive, and the ones that are will only last you a couple of years. Again, how many 20,30,40, or 50 year old Asian cars do you see driving around? I'm not even talking about sports cars, just any kind of car.

  • Well no shit you won't see 30+ cars normally yet. Look at when import vehicles started seeing favourable sales. It hasn't been that long yet, but still I see 20+ year old corollas, 180sx, accords, etc. all the time. And your forgetting German (BMW and Mercedes) and other imports as well like volvo which is the sturdiest make. American muscle is a cool breed of car to own i'll admit but in terms of reliability and practicality, they can't stand up.

  • Okay, well I am not saying that muscle cars are practical. I'm saying that muscle cars kick jap cars asses. Maybe if you're some poor mexican kid or something, I could see getting some cheap ass Honda Civic or something, you'll just have to worry about it breaking down every two months.

  • American muscle as in sports car are unreliable and not practical? O Man that just took away all your credibility when you said that. Japanese sport cars are just as bad as American sport cars in reliability. What Japanese sport cars have you seen up and running that hasn't been babied or rebuilt? Same with American muscle cars. American V6 sports cars may not beat 30k+ jap cars, but look at our fuel consumption compared to japs V6 sports.

  • Dude the camaro is slow too and bad handling. Fail
