But you seem to have misunderstood what I meant. For many universes a story takes place, often times there are the more powerful beings, unquestionable. It could be a god, a samurai warrior, or a regular high school bully. It is subjective to any world. My point is that every one of those powerful beings have that place, it depends only on the writer, who raises their level to certain bar because it fits.

So it's more powerful than you've seen in other animes, so what? What matters is their role in the story, not how they compare to others, because bottom line, I can make up a character more powerful than the Lord of Nightmares. How relevant he or she is to the plot is another question.

@luke2247 I was like 12 when I first watched Slayers so I prefered the dubs, which is odd cause I watched Lain at about he same time and prefered the subs. Looking back dubbed slayers is pretty bad compared to the original version, obviously. I think the only dubbed anime version I prefer to this day is Cowboy Bebop.
