  • traditional chinese kickboxing is not to be messed with covers everything stand up wise!!

  • is this Paul Rosado himself throwing down?

  • no, one of his students

  • Hey guys... try putting like... a glove on an elbow or knee to soften the blow? It just doesnt work out...

  • whats the song called ?

  • "Can't be Stopped" by Mighty Mystic. It's from his 2007 release "Wake up the World vol 2".

  • a real fight has no rules

  • sanda rules don't allow knee and elbows, this isn't a true fight

  • and muay thai rules don't allow tackles and ground fight

  • No elbows and no knees to head ? :S

Guy cant even use his muay thai basically lol

cant clinch and lay some hammers.

  • san da rules favor someone who can throw from the clinch. That's just how it goes. There are lots of good rulesets, that provide good competition.

  • all it does is give an unfair advantage to someone who does not know how to use knees or elbows

  • not necessarily, there are throwing techniques from the clinch in muay thai, but xanda throws more closely resemble mma shots & take downs...i think shots are useless unless theres a ground game involved

  • well, in mma yes. San da, and Muay Thai always make for a good fight (with equal skill).

San da's emphisis on shots are from the point system for comp.

  • yeah...im slowly growing to hate fighting for points, its whats turning me off of mma

  • if it's within a full contact setting, I don't mind. It gives more of a show, sometimes...but I need to know they're allowed to clock each other.

  • lol, yeah i feel you

  • learning snada takedowns 4 street fighting would be great u dun have to go down with the enemy u throw em to teh floor n kick n stomp me mercilessly

  • sorta but most sanda takedowns are like shots, in which case u have to go down with them

  • in sport sanda theres a 3 point contact to teh floor rule all ur takedowns must be excuted while ur on both feet if a 3rd point like a knee hit the floor b4 u execute the takedown so all teh takedowns r basically throws in the match if the guy falls with him its either he lost balance or he purposly did it to get the point

  • no all the takedowns are not throws, some of them are mma style shots

  • well there may be shots but the point is u dun do ne takedowns that requires u to get on ur knees all takedowns must be done while ur on 2 feet so goin down with the guy eitehr means u lost balance or u did it cuz u want the point

  • love the sound track

    big up

  • p.s. i'm training muay thai, bjj, and mma now, wonder if will's still training!

  • Last I talked to him, he said he'd been training mma, a lot.

  • nice, any idea where?

  • no, probably at Lefty's, if I had to guess.

  • Lefty's? i'm unfamiliar.

  • no shit, Cambodian Will Preap? I went to highschool with him!

  • yo bobby. nice fight man. do you know where I can get that song? its sick.

  • yeah, it's "can't be stopped" from Mighty Mystic's "wake up the world vol 2". PM me.

  • Was there be a Muay Thai fighter in this "Chinese Kickboxing vs. Muay Thai" fight?

All I saw was a pitiful excuse for a kickboxer muscle around someone with no fighting ability at all.

However, I must give props for the sweep takedown...that was nice.

  • ever try san da rules? not easy.

  • Both are incredible art forms. Although i don't believe he's able to use all the techniques unique to muay thai. You want to see a great fight watch a traditional Muay Boron match!

  • for those who doesn know Kunfu or anyother fight, you have no idea what different between Muay Thai and chinese kunfu, so shut up. if you are really a fighter. you should know you can't tell which is better which is not by one or twice fight.

there is only one different---people, make good or bad

  • @pzl1010 Sanda isn't kung fu...itz chinese kickboxing. It does how ever have kung fu roots..pretty much kung fu meets a random style of boxing and another random form of throws, personally i think the sanda throws look like Judo no-Gi throws but it isn't clear where they got the throws or boxing aspects from...but the kicking, and base of Sanda does come from kung fu..it just grew into something totally different. (that doesn't mean however i dislike kung fu, just pointing out the difference)

  • Secondly! i agree 100% with what you said tho...it's about the fighter, not the style. there are only so many ways to punch, kick, knee, throw and grapple...the only difference between martial arts is where they come from, and how much of what skill do they use...after that it's up to the fighter to make the best of what he has and become deadly in he's own way, not in the way of the style...for example, people think Taekwondo sucks, i disagree and have seen TKD beat thai boxing or anything else

  • whos the muay thai and whos the kung fu?

  • san shou in tank top.

  • Is dat sum Sanshou?

  • the background song acttract me more

  • sweet moves

  • visit chinesekickboxing dot com

RESPECT to Lefty, Lee, Marc, Sonja, Flex, Mike, Elias and all my kung fu brothers and sisters.

  • Muay Thai is better

  • obviously it's not as the video just proved, look up sanshou vs muay-thai if you need anymore proof, sanshou is better because it basically is muay-thai except with takedowns

  • Actually, there are throws allowed in Muay Thai as well, they just don't emphasize it as much. I don't think it much matters because takedowns aren't a big deal if you're not allowed to follow them with anything. Neither art has a ground game. Maybe military Sanshou does, I don't know, but not the sport form.

  • What is everyone talking about? Muay Thai emphasize knees and elbows as much as kicks and punches! Thus it is called the art of 8 limbs. Muay Thai has more brutal rules of knees allowed to the head. San Shou in my opinion has more versatile throwing rules and the art itself has a sidekick that is harder to catch and thus has its usefulness. Both arts are pretty effective.

  • Sidekick very rarely does anything more than just push people around though. And it's very easy to catch. Not an essential weapon, IMO.

  • crappy sidekicks push people, good ones hurt like crazy

  • Thai boxers can't use elbows or knees to the head, putting them at a disadvantage under san da rules (in the US, I don't know about overseas). Both sports produce amazing fighters.

  • this is only true in places where it's just not legal in competition. elbows and knees to the head are most definitely a big part of muay thai, thats what the clinch is for. you also train to use elbows just like a punch.
