your tone is amazing, especially on those open chords in the begining, thats what its all about, that organic metallic, midrangy sustain...how you can hear all the strings in the chord and its not one big mid scooped sound...really really tasty sounds here. I'm a passive guy for pick ups, so thats the only thing I'd change. Anything on the market you would recamend that has a similar sound? do you have any other clips of this playing with a band? thanks again!
Bruce rebuilt my 1962 Fender Pro Amp combo and it is a amazing amp!! it is in constant use and it never lets me down! a great amp and a great amp builder and rebuilder!! thanks Bruce! this one was built at his home.
None. Guitar straight to amp. I am using an EMG 85 with an EMG SPC tone so it is hitting the front of the amp really hard..but no FX or pedals in the chain.
You know what? Every time I hear a Egnater Amp, or one that has been built using his methods, I am in awe. I was lucky enough to hang around Bruce at his little shop in Berkley Mich. 20 years ago when he was repairing and bulding amps for the music store where I worked. Every piece of crap we sent him came back sounding like a masterpiece, and we never had a complaint from the recipient.
It may be alot like other Marshalls, like fly said, but not even Boogie can get it that tight sounding. If you actually did that from your home then great job! Great sustain. I'd like to hear it with the neck position on a strat.
im so fuckin jelous.. best sound clips ive heard on this site! dunno if its just th recording but man, that sounds fuckin brilliant.. i want it, you gonna make more!?
While a camera mic is not the best judge, this amp does seem to have a beautiful distortion! Those 3rd fret harmonics jump off the fretboard. And thanks for putting the camera just far enough away to get a decent recording without constant overload. I've been very impressed with what I've heard coming out of Egnater.

Hey man...would you ever consider building another one to sell?
MeTuLHeD 3 years ago
Hi can u choose a schematic of an amp to build assuming its reasonably straight forward...
BRADHblackdragon 3 years ago
how much did you have to pay for the course and all that?
kool98769 3 years ago
I think the course is now $1600 which includes the 2 day course and you keep the amp you make. Bruce also feeds you lunch each day. Well worth it!!!

great tone!
Do you know if the Engl Fireball sounds similar to this tone?
petejt 4 years ago
No,The powerball is too modern and has a nasal sound the amp that has built this guy in Egnater seminar (in my opinion) is 100 times better...
emeritae 4 years ago
Great clip man! I think George Lynch would be wise to go to and Egnater seminar to find his elusive tone.
RelicJunky 4 years ago
Disregarding the camera quality, that was a fantastic sounding amp!
