  • your tone is amazing, especially on those open chords in the begining, thats what its all about, that organic metallic, midrangy sustain...how you can hear all the strings in the chord and its not one big mid scooped sound...really really tasty sounds here. I'm a passive guy for pick ups, so thats the only thing I'd change. Anything on the market you would recamend that has a similar sound? do you have any other clips of this playing with a band? thanks again!

  • Great job. That's a really good sounding amp. What are you going to name it?

  • that sounds awesome. big as hell. u should sell them. id buy one in a heartbeat. great job man!!

  • So how much to build me one? lol

  • Perfectly bassy, midrangey. And the PRS helps too. 245 or 250?

  • How many gain stages?

  • 3 + cathode follower

its preamp circuit is pretty close to a bogner uberschall with the third stage skipped

  • ok thanks for the info, it sounds nice :)

  • Holly shit that sounds perfect!

nice job, build them and sell them they are better than bruces :)

  • DAMN! Very nice... Doesn't even need any overdrive... could use a noise gate, but... what good high gain tube amp DOESN'T?!

    LOVE IT!

  • Awesome hi gain sound.

  • Bruce rebuilt my 1962 Fender Pro Amp combo and it is a amazing amp!! it is in constant use and it never lets me down! a great amp and a great amp builder and rebuilder!! thanks Bruce! this one was built at his home.

  • Hey man...would you ever consider building another one to sell?

  • Hi can u choose a schematic of an amp to build assuming its reasonably straight forward...

  • how much did you have to pay for the course and all that?

  • I think the course is now $1600 which includes the 2 day course and you keep the amp you make. Bruce also feeds you lunch each day. Well worth it!!!

  • Did you use any pedals on the clip?

  • None. Guitar straight to amp. I am using an EMG 85 with an EMG SPC tone so it is hitting the front of the amp really hard..but no FX or pedals in the chain.

  • You know what? Every time I hear a Egnater Amp, or one that has been built using his methods, I am in awe. I was lucky enough to hang around Bruce at his little shop in Berkley Mich. 20 years ago when he was repairing and bulding amps for the music store where I worked. Every piece of crap we sent him came back sounding like a masterpiece, and we never had a complaint from the recipient.

  • That's a really nice brown sound! Did you need to have any experience with electronics to take the seminar?

  • None!!! Very cool experience.

  • Wow, i'll defenitely have to check out those seminars!

  • It may be alot like other Marshalls, like fly said, but not even Boogie can get it that tight sounding. If you actually did that from your home then great job! Great sustain. I'd like to hear it with the neck position on a strat.

  • KILLER TONE,GREAT JOB BRO,IF you ever want to sell,LET ME KNOW!!

  • sounds like a lotta other decent marshalls, lets hear some real music, zz top, deep purple, skynyrd, etc..is good though.

  • Sound quality is ass, but I can tell the amp is a monster.

  • Absolutely killer tone, man! Thick as a brick.

  • That amp sounds killer Mark!

  • that sounds real nice man, sweet amp.

  • Thanks for posting. I'm going to build mine soon!

  • where do you think i can find a complete diagram of 1500 watts amplifier... reply for me. ty

  • great tone!

Do you know if the Engl Fireball sounds similar to this tone?

  • No,The powerball is too modern and has a nasal sound the amp that has built this guy in Egnater seminar (in my opinion) is 100 times better...

  • Great clip man! I think George Lynch would be wise to go to and Egnater seminar to find his elusive tone.

  • Disregarding the camera quality, that was a fantastic sounding amp!

  • Niiice tone... yeah I hear the Lynch-esque phrasing... it's all good bro.

  • That is a ferocious tone my man!

  • It's George Lynch!!!!!

  • very nice rhythm tone! sounds alot like my Diezel Einstein.

  • Nice tone!

  • I've seen this thing at least a dozen times. Make a sequel.

You are my new hero and Bruce Egnater my new savior.

  • awesome sound. Love the GROWL

  • good amp, but's let's give the guitarist a bit of credit too, aint bad at what he does

  • im so fuckin jelous.. best sound clips ive heard on this site! dunno if its just th recording but man, that sounds fuckin brilliant.. i want it, you gonna make more!?

  • Nice tone stack and gain stage guy!

    -J

  • HOT DAMN! That's ridiculous.

  • My Gawd that's gorgeous.... nice job!

  • While a camera mic is not the best judge, this amp does seem to have a beautiful distortion! Those 3rd fret harmonics jump off the fretboard. And thanks for putting the camera just far enough away to get a decent recording without constant overload. I've been very impressed with what I've heard coming out of Egnater.

  • That thing sounds excellent! Nice work.

  • Sounds great man!!!!

  • Nice clip mark! I may have to try one of bruces clinics that amp sounds amazing!

  • not bad

  • whoa!
