See, I don't think there ever really WAS a "Secret of Getting It All." I think the secret was a ruse concocted by Clandestino to keep the Bluffers distracted so that he can shift his focus on other things, while the Bluffers concern themselves with obtaining it. He fools everyone into thinking it exists, including his dog and Sillycone. In the end, the Bluffers themselves are the ones being bluffed, and there's the irony of the entire series.

It could be possible that he is the dutch father to Sgt Blob from 'The Dreamstone,' as this was drawn by the same animator.

They decided that halfway through production, although they had to show them as they signed a contract to do so. They should have made a 14th episode wrapping the whole series up.
The plot of the show was good (as were the opening and closing graphics and theme tune)
But the animation and style of direction in the actual episodes wasn't brilliant!!!
But I suppose that was to do with different cultural styles. Even though this show was made primarily for the US market, it was actually made in the Netherlands or Germany (can't remember which)
As far as I remember - the last screening of it was in 1995. And the recording of that episode I have dates from 1992! I believe it made it's British debut in 1989.
I had completely forgotten about this until I saw a continuity announcer's slide for it in some Channel 4 continuity from 1992 - that I found on *dum dum duuuummmmm* BETAMAX!!!

Best I have are some episodes I might've copied to a DVD in my collection. In the US, the show only ever got released on VHS in the late 80's/early 90's and was never seen on TV.
I think the reason why it wasn't remembered very well in the UK was that it was shown on Sunday mornings . . . .at about 6am . . . .on Channel 4 - as opposed to a weekday afternoon at about 4pm-ish on Children's BBC or Children's ITV.
Had it been shown in that slot then I think it would be much better remembered in the UK :)

It's one of the reasons I thought it was a good cartoon, you know, there's 2 routes, waterered down programmes like those kiddie dramas or silly comedy sort of cartoons (fairly oddparents etc), or ones like this/The Raccoons/farthing wood, I preferred the latter then and prefer it now hence why I shared this thing, but we're all entitled to our opinions :)

Omg...I can't believe anyone remembers this movie! I can't find anyone in real life who does, though...I saw it when I was about 7, and that was like...13 years ago. Yeesh. lol I can't find any English vids of this but this intro, and that stinks. I'm trying to get in touch with my inner child. :-P

no-one remembers clandestino's secret - it was never revealed - as that episode was never broadcast - as that episode was never even made!!!
It only ran to 13 episodes.

I'm not sure. According to wiki the actual power that it possesses is never found out, but I'm not sure whether they managed to get it in the end or not.

I managed to snag a copy of this from Ebay. To this day, it has yet to be put on DVD. BTW, the "secret of getting it all" was never revealed.
Hmm...that opening scene with the outer space bits...I wonder if Gene Deitch (the show's creator) had been watching the Raccoons TV specials (the Xmas Raccoons, Raccoons on Ice, the Raccoons and the Lost Star).

It's ok and yes hardly anyone does remember it it seems. if I still had my old vid I'd try to upload a couple of eps in portions somehow. But don't get your hopes up guys, as I think that video is long gone :/

Best I have are some episodes I might've copied to a DVD in my collection. In the US, the show only ever got released on VHS in the late 80's/early 90's and was never seen on TV.

I think the reason why it wasn't remembered very well in the UK was that it was shown on Sunday mornings . . . .at about 6am . . . .on Channel 4 - as opposed to a weekday afternoon at about 4pm-ish on Children's BBC or Children's ITV.
Had it been shown in that slot then I think it would be much better remembered in the UK :)

Fair enough dude. It's one of the reasons I thought it was a good cartoon, you know, there's 2 routes, waterered down programmes like those kiddie dramas or silly comedy sort of cartoons (fairly oddparents etc), or ones like this/The Raccoons/farthing wood, I preferred the latter then and prefer it now hence why I shared this thing, but we're all entitled to our opinions :)
