Great entertainment back in the 70s. I remember some of its funny dialogues.Like Omar Sharif telling Belmondo "we have some strange rules in the force. You cannot travel in our car unless you are under arrest." This just after that fabulous car chase which leaves Belmondo's car battered. Lol!!

1970s sleazy thriller before speilburg suger-coated junk thrillers. this european movie played a number of usa theaters. nothing origonal, but its fun, even omar shariff showing off greek cooking. made enough money for same director to have some follow-up movie shown in usa, but that was such a flop that was end of that. 70s euro-trash was routinely shown in usa; and they were more fun than todays just-trash usa big budget movies.

I saw "Le Casse" a few days ago, even by Henri V's standards, it is an amazingly plotless & empty film & the ending is terrible. Morricones score saves it, but there really is nothing to this film. The initial heist is dull & then nothing but a car chase & stunts...no plot, cardboard characters & a very childlike script. Much like "The Sicilian Clan", it relies on "set pieces"...it just isn't enough.

Great car chase scene in Greece. Belmondo did some incredible stunts in the film. Unfortunately not on DVD.
