I'm getting really tired of all the bashing of firefighter's and there compensation. The state of california and many cities are in the fiscal hole's they're in today not because of the firefighter's but because of decsions made by the politicans. In Cities like Los Angeles and San Diego are gambling with your lives by causing the fire department's to close uints on a daily basis. If your having a heart attack or your house is on fire it may now take longer for help to arrive.

They use both, they just normally don't kick it on for 30 seconds or so after leaving.
