The same has been happening to me- although my computer also loses connection at the same time and it is next to my xbox..the laptops inside (which are closer to the modem) never lose connection... i suspect this is your modem slowly crapping out and losing signal. My plan is good, so it must be my modem, which i have had for only 1 year.

Try to upgrade your plan or move closer to the modem (if wireless) if wired you probably need a plan upgrade or less computers connected to the modem at once.

same issue here. it started a year or so ago....have used xbl since it started....I think think they have changed something to prevent people from cheating by using lag devices. that might explain it, they disconnect you for having a changing bandwidth...I notice it more when others are sharing my connection playing other games, etc....my theory for why Bungie hates me.

I NEED HELP BAD

Whenever I play Call of Duty World at War Team Death match I last about 5 minutes in a game then my xbox says disconnected from xbox live and then i can sign back in but what makes no since is that i can still play Nazi Zombies online and i dont disconnect can someone please help me beacuse i am a very big fan of call of duty online i just need an answer please can anyone help?

I have the same problem, it started on fable, about every 10 mins I lost my connection, but now it happens on Halo3 and CoD: WaW.

i can play any other game on online, like cod 4,nhl 08, gtaIV and nhl 2k8 but not cod 3... it finds the servers but when i try to connect to server it says "could not connect to host player" or "could not connect to other players" something like that... why??? please help!!!(sorry my bad english)

Yeah!!..i hav the same problem. when i go online for certain games like cod4,GTA4,R6V2,i lose connection.but when i play GOW online i dont. i never had this problem until i moved from GA to Massachusetts. i think ever since we got this other router thats when we started losing connection. should i buy a new router or what???...someone please comment my page on what i should do!!!!!!:(

thru geeky research it turns out most ofthis problem if u have had it lately is because of the xbox live console update

ive got kindqa the same problem but it signs me into xbox live for 5 seconds then straight back out agen reli startin 2 piss me off ive checked it n it ses on the test connection part were it ses link and act the act aint workin i check out my modem and the act is working fine xbox live is so fuckin unreliable

well, i dont think xbox live is unreliable... but its probably your modem or router. When i bought my router it fixed the problem perfectly!

yeah i just pressed the little reset button on my modem and it works fine now but still i stand by the whole xbox live is unreliable remark.

i have the same dam problem and it pisses me off.

in halo 2 i get in a game and as soons as i get in the match it looses connection. i dont loose connection... my whole fucking modem shuts off and restarts. but when i play battlefield 2 and other games it doesnt do that. sometimes when im bearly login in and i check my friends it looses connection. they said to clean the eye of the xbox.. like the laser.. but is that what i need to do?

I am lucky to get into a game, i have the worst connection, i can't even private chat a friend who lives maby 20 miles not even away. The games i get into are only 1v1 or 2v2 in COD4 i need help! (xbox live = ripoff)

i use to have the same problem with my o router because i played a demo on xbox live and then it couldnt sign into messenger into i put on auto sign in and now it works great

My fucking xbox live fucked up after my ip address meesed up. Then i fixed it, but after that xbox live loses connection now and then!!!. The wierd thing is that its 11 days new and ever since microsoft helped me fix the ip address thing its been loseing connection!!!!!!! PLease help!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey umm i have a wireless modem a westell versa link 327 and it has a wep and everything can i juts use that instead of a wireless router cause i will be getting the wireless adapter soon

hmm, yeh I have xbox live, mine is brilliant, maybe ur modem cant handle the needed power of xbox live, I recommend netgear router, i got this one, its awsome, well im not clever enough with IT to sort out ur problem, but good luck though..
