Byrd is large. He is lynchpin of the Indians great pitching staff and carried the team through the post-season. There's no taking away from the kind of player and person he is.

Mitchel's probe is a joke. He is involved directly with the Red Sox (I wonder if any Red Sox were named in the findings--they're such a class act). But there's one thing about Byrd's targeting that makes clear this is a joke: Paul Byrd tops out at 90mph. Never threw any harder. Aside from the fact that it was and used it to recover from injury and stay in the game- how does it change his performance? He is the ultimate cerebral pitcher-- throws strikes and out thinks batters.

all i have to say is that Paul Byrd is one of the best guys in baseball... he is so nice, and will do anything for anyone. knowing him, there is no way he was taking HGH to cheat.

hey paul is my dads bud from when they were 8 and they still kno eachother today we talked to himand he got tommy john surgery in 2002 or 2003 and the doc told him to use hgh to heal his arm he did it from the doctor's subscribtion

Doesn`t matter. Even if he was using HGH for his well being or Jammin roids, it will never stick. The dude does look old for his age and hasn`t done squat. Nobody will care. Baseball is a multi-million anual industry. Baseball will repair itself but will never be honest.

Dude...they have him all over the news as having used HGH but it's misleading because it wasn't banned until '05, and secondly, many newstories are trying to make it sound like he was using anabolic steroids, which is not what HGH is.

This is an example of the media blowing something out of proportion.
