thanks you do a great thing with the vids. :) redirection is a great thing especially for brittle diabetics, cravings and hi/lows cause depression in diabetics. Sometimes its nice to have our diets reinforced by a simple video. It helps with our self confidence especially when we feel down about it. This is a great thing you do. :D keep up the great work.
This video is great. But....If one small bag of chips is 15g. and a sandwich is 30g from the two slices of bread. Unless there's carbohydrate in the tuna salad, you can still have the cookie, because your lunch total is only 45g. :-)
thanks for this video...somebody from a diabetes group sent this to the group..and I think that your video is pretty good.. you also remind me a bit of that fella on the food net work...ahh,Alton Brown! My hubby watches that guy a LOT! LOL!
Carb choices! Eww I'm glad I was never introduced to that one (the recommended carb limits would kill my blood sugars anyway!). I do limit my carbs, but only because it leads to easier control... and I still have my cake & chocolate any time I feel like it :) I'm soooo thankful for the control we can get from our modern insulins!
Most type 1s who carb count aren't on the limitted diet approach, I don't think. I carb count a lot more accurately than the nearest fifteen carbs (because 15 carbs makes about a 70 mg/dl diference) so as to determine an exact insulin dose.
Oh and a little bitty kitchen scale is good for determining one ounce. For cheetos that'd be more like three handfuls, I think (I don't eat cheetos).
That was funny, but DUDE! Close your mouth when you chew! That's just nasty!

LoL great video! Be careful eating those cheetos out of the bag, it's easy to lose count. Better to pour some in a bowl and hide the bag! =D
