I have a soft spot for this film. Too bad the Producer's Cut hasn't been officially released because it makes more sense to the story. But it has a great atmosphere, music score, suspense, the actors are good and Michael is scary. Although not the best sequel, it is far better than Resurrection and the Halloween/Halloween II remakes by Rob Zombie. Best to collect them all through H20.

I don't care what all the critic's say, the theatrical version was much better than the highly demanded producer's cut. Believe me, I know, I have a copy of the producers cut and it is retarded!!! The theatrical version cuts out a lot of that stupid ass thorn BS, and packs in more scares and violence, which I know was never the intent of the original Halloween films, but face it, that's what sell's these horror films nowadays.

Don't let this trailer fool you, this movie is absolutely chocked full of non-sense, and things that didn't exist from the previous movies. The scenes that should've been scary are completely ruined by non-suspenseful music and bad/cliche acting. From the looks of the trailer, this movie is one of the baddest damn thing in the industry, but it simply does not fucking deliver like the mail man on Christmas. Do yourself a favor; watch the trailer, and go no further.

Halloween 6 was OK IMO but it seemed as though it was only Donald Pleasence that was really carrying the picture.

H20 was pretty crap and I considered it just a cash in on the fact that Laurie returns. Resurrection was a steamy pile of shite along with Zombies recent celuloid turds.

I think after 4 it went pretty much down hill although for me the absence of Donald Pleasence makes the last two sequels seem more alien than anything.

Halloween 3 is the shit...the first one being the best, obviously...why Halloween 3? It was genuinely creepy. Sure, it didnt have Myers, but Myers was DEAD! So, they decided to do something different. And that's what they were gonna keep on doing...something different for each movie. But no one liked Halloween 3 because it wasnt the same as the first 2. If it was just called Season of the Witch, and didnt have Halloween in the title, you'd probably feel different about it.

He produced part 3, Tommy Lee Wallace directed.
