Haha. Indeed. Like when Brent says they only kept in the bad stuff for "The Office" documentary in the Christmas special. Granted we don't really know what we can believe from him, but we do see some rare scenes where the workers respect and laugh at Brent's jokes. Like the turtle comment at the beginning, which cuts in at the end of the joke. So perhaps the real David Brent outside of the documentary is not the worst boss ever. The Office=Pure Genius.

Also people in Britain can watch the US version, but they choose not to, it gets no air time here because it's inferior to the office and most of the television over here. Also it was 12 episode and a christmas special and it has great replay value, unlike the US one, there's only so much anyone can take of that overrated Carell.

Coming from an American, the original Office was simply one of the best shows ever. hands down. you can see many American shows these days "stealing" some of David Brent's mannerisms and facial expressions. Like "Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia," even though its one of my favorites, some of the early seasons show this clearly.
