I have this same ball for about a year now but it won't hook for me I have even thrown it with two hands on a dry lane and it just hit the ten pin but when I tried it with my razor by hammer it went in to the all the way across the lane and back in to the gutter does any one know y my riot won't hook
looks like A LOT of ball for the price point. What layout would you recommend for a reaction that will push through the heads and give you more of a midlane read? I was thinking of using a stronger layout, but I don't want to sacrifice hitting power. I'm looking for a continuous layout. Any suggestions?
how can i develop revs like this i mean he has control speed and the ball sets up perfectly to the pocket, how come this guy isn't on the national tour
i know a bunch have people said they like this ball for heavy-medium oil, however i would like to use it for the short/drier patterns would that be viable?
@huvaljason It can be used on shorter patterns with the correct layout as long as you have enough volume. This ball is quite stong, don't let the price point fool you. If you are looking for something for drier patterns I would look more towards the Dark Star due to it being a pearl.
@shaneo1482 The Riot is much stronger than the Mars so I don't know if I would go that route. If you are looking for something that doesn't hook much look at the Grenade. It is by far the best ball in our line for lighter patterns. - Jimmy
I really do like this reaction. See i just bowled a PJBT yesterday on this pattern and won the tournament playing exactly where he was when he moved right throwing a ball with the pin below my fingers. This ball really does look good.
Awesome job once again guys! Jimmy, your pap must be around 3-1/2" > what's your vertical measurement? I looked up the definition of silk on wikipedia and it had a picture of Jimmy! Great job and you roll the ball really smooth! Keep posting and now I've got to get a Riot and Dark Star!!!
@batbowler I am 3 1/4 over 1/4 up.. You will be very pleased with both of them, I now have a couple of each and they seem to match up on almost everything for me. Thanks again for the compliments. Jimmy
The Riot is a lot smoother off the friction than the Nomad due to the lower diff core. It is definitely become my benchmark ball, and I have drilled 2 more since I drilled the one in the video. This ball is a must for Roto-Grip fans
You have the best videos for bowling balls on youtube. The downlane end of oil marker is great and the editing makes it very easy to see how the ball reads the lanes. That and you have one of the smoothest releases I've ever seen. Thanks for posting!

how do you get that relase. i have always went around the ball and avg 215, but want to get better and have more of a forward roll.
