  • I wish diarrhea on the sound tech who put THIS much delay on an otherwise flawless vocal performance. As my sound tech says regarding live Reverb/Delay "You just want to put a little lipstick on her. You don't want her to look like a wh0re." Bobby - you are my hero.

  • In case anyone out there didn't catch it...

The entirety of all my previous posts we a tribute to the man...

    Bobby McFerrin... Thank You Sir!

  • by the way... why do people refer to music as something that they have seen?

  • Thanks to Youtube, and those of you that have taken the time to contribute the content (especially this piece, that opens a countless number of dimensions; 4th, 5th, and beyond infinity) that of an artist we know as Bobby McFerrin...

  • So, my my heart, my soul, my character, my intellect, my humbleness, my spiritual connection to everything that is spiritual; as well as my ability to share, a song, my love, my passion of music, appreciation of art, and the rest of a never ending list of things that I call myself me for, are all the better in so many, many ways... Contd...

  • does anyone have a cleaner copy of this performance?? Please!!!

You see, I met the man on a number of occasions, once upon time, when I was too young to know enough to shut up and listen...

I had been introduced then, to the man that I would later, regard as the finest vocalist of my experience...

Now, as I have since learned to listen, I realize this, and am beyond grateful for the second chance... via youtube.

  • 3:03 - 3:45 it's the best part, just look the sounds he produce almost simultaneously

  • It is such a beautiful performance but the conclusion completely blows me away. Music liquefies and becomes everything around you, mmmm!

  • lol, his little dance at the end, hahaha

  • to bad it has so much echoing realy destroys the music for me

  • What's with this guy - has he more than one voice box? Bloody amazing repertoire - although I would like to hear a straight rendition of this without the echo - but still well impressed. I remember him first being on "The Tube", (many years ago - in the UK), and was impressed then. Guy's so cool - hope he's still doing his stuff. Amazing talent and so melodic.

  • can't stop listening to this song it's so hypnotizing.

  • GOD, I would LOVE to get vocal lessons from this cat

  • What concert is this from? I can't find it anywhere and it is my favorite thing...

  • live in montreal version is better, little too much delay for my taste

  • He is wonderful! Outstanding! GREAT!!!!!

He-s the best... Genius. Love him...

  • Loving the little dance of simple happiness at the end.

  • I want to thank the person responsible for posting this video on you tube!

This performance not only allows us to bathe our naked souls in the truth of it all. It not only illustrates clearly, a true Master of his art, it also presents to us this day, a lesson... If you don't know what I am speaking of, don't worry, you are not alone. For those of you that do... please remember; that your children should know this man's work, as well as they might know of Mozart's, Einstein's, or Gandhi's.

  • @SirYoungandOldJr calm down, dont bust a nut

  • I wish I could find this piece available on a cleaner recording

  • heavenly voice

  • If Angels wanted to sound the best they could, they would be trying to emulate Bobby.

  • My favorite of his.

    wow

  • my fav part is from 0:00 to 3:45

  • unbelievable! Bobby is the best!

  • does he have a delay pedal on his mic, or is he actually doing that effect with his voice?

  • Comment removed

  • @Justbechillman this is actually how he pieced the song together.. ive seen him preform this without a mic before

this is also not Air by j.s. bach..

any one know the real name of this song?

  • @Justbechillman ..Seriously? There's an effect on the mic (not literally, but between the mic and the output). No pedal involved.. Pedals are used when the instrumentalist needs real-time control over effects. In this video, the effect is constant. What he's doing is way amazing, and it would be literally impossible for anyone to ever create an echo effect of that quality with only their voice.

  • wow this is gotta be my fav one!

  • 3:02 - 3:14 Hats off to Mr Ferrin.

  • a living god! that's it.

  • I have looked and looked for the downloads or albums for this and By the Sea... can anyone help??

  • @katcline get a youtube ripper :D

  • i am illiterate... how??

  • @k0baan: that's possible too, but the quality would definitely be better if it was on an album. This quality is not so great. I will probly rip it anyway :D

  • @katcline If you have Nero Wave edit you can record it off this video

  • Thank you God for sending us an Angel...

His talent is not of this earth or learned but that of a gift... and I thank the giver!!

    What a GIFT!!!

  • OMG! He would have to be one of the most talented musicians to date.

Ya can see him concentrating and going thru it at the start...

    Brilliant Brilliant man.

  • this is probably one of the most vocally difficult things i've ever seen

  • Lost in admiration for this man!!

  • he's amazig

  • My favorite Bobby video ever.
