  • I love Google Chrome.

  • Neil Patrick Harris!

  • whos the girl on the medicine ball i was distracted

  • Hello Mike

  • JavasScript? I though teh internets was all about HTML5 now...

  • very good

  • Don't you guys get it? This is for sort of casual users, who don't really do anything outside surfing the internets. I don't see this as a replacement for my programming computer, but as a nice at-home internetmachine!

  • To build an OS upon GC, Javascript, etc.... SCRIPT. Chromium is a big bunch of bull. Build an OS for the Net? Change the Net, and its tech. This is pure nonsense.

I can't develop on this, like code, compile, link, debug. I can't do live music recordings on this with my studio gear. I can't do audio productions on this. I can't do any decent graphics manipulations on this. I can't do any decent video editing on this. Yes, we DO however have a "script" at the root to speed up useless webpages.

  • Thumbs up if you saw the guy at 2:00 who was sitting on a blue ball in the background

  • i came to googlechrome from firefox and i havnt looked back its the best browser out there

  • He's very good at explaining things.

  • I'm a SeaMonkey man; because I still love the ol' Netscape/Mozilla suite: browser, mail client, address book, web editor, IRC, newsgroups, DOM inspector, JS debugger etc. in one app. (with »just-browsers«, I'd need lots of extra apps.)

I've been using SeaMonkey on OS X, Linux and Windoze on a hourly basis since 2002, and I love the fact that I can use most Firefox add-ons; that everything renders the same, thanks to the Gecko engine; that I can migrate my Mozilla configurations easily etc.

  • In my oppinion, THE SCROLLBAR should be displayed only on MouseOver, eventually with a quick fading and still some transparency when fully displayed. The webpage content should stay visually fixed no matter if the scrollbar displays or not.

    :)

My example page is found at

    ...

    \/\/ \/\/ \/\/ . statuianuda . ro / no-scroll.php

    ...

Please don't mark it as a spam.

I don't know how else I can contact the Chrome Team, so I'm just submitting an idea here by showing the example page.

  • @parfumeria33ro

(Note: I'm not a Google employee, I'm just a curious YouTuber)

I tried it out, and I liked it. Not only does it not interfere with the display of the webpage that the person is reading, it should not auto-resize the webpage.

I guess what should be improved (or its there already, just didn't notice) is that when the user is scrolling, it should briefly be transparent enough to show where on the page the user is viewing, and could disappear when not in use.

  • Thanks for checking it out. I'm not sure I understood about the scrollbar being briefly transparent enough to show where on the page the user is viewing, but there surely are improvements to be done.

    -

For example, user could right-click on scrollbar to have it memorize certain positions on page. While scrollbar is in use, memorized positions are shown as transparent horizontal lines right on page. This way, user can move fast between two or more locations on page of interest to him. And so on.

  • Google Chrome is very well done it is really fast, faster then other web browsers, I really like it

  • @DemonHunter2k7 It is. For some reason, when I was trying to upload HD videos to YouTube on Mozilla, I got an uploading error. Then, I tried IE, and got the same message. Then, I decided to try it on Google Chrome, and it worked. Plus, I can watch HD videos on YouTube, without the buffering and staggering on the other web browsers. Not to mention, when I search other websites, I notice the speed going from page to page. I would recommend Google Chrome to anyone.

  • Great !!!!

  • I was too distracted by the background starting at 1:45...

  • @freetrader0000

Too right - really irritating - I just used a postit note to block out the geek. Hi tech solution, way to go.

  • @freetrader0000 - very irritating - I used a post-it note to blok out.

  • I really enjoy Google Chrome, it's faster than any other browser I've used. If that's what you were going for, swell.. however, when I view Youtube, I am constantly left waiting while another pre-video advertisement runs in my face. I'm going back to Firefox, at least for watching videos.

  • @nonpersonsdotcom Try using AdTwhart. It is a addon for chrome and blocks all ads very effectively.

  • @Merkkijono Sweet, thanks. I'll try it out.

  • @nonpersonsdotcom The advertisements don't have anything to do with the browser...

  • @nonpersonsdotcom the adverts are not due to the browser, they are just on some videos. hit F5 and it will start the video again minus the add :)

  • @Hayley2905 Then why is it I never get them on firefox with adblock active?

  • @nonpersonsdotcom That is weird. I experience those issues when I watch videos on YouTube via Mozilla, especially in HD. Not to mention, I was constantly getting upload error messages for an HD video I wanted to upload on YouTube via Mozilla. However, I tried the same method on Google Chrome, and it worked. Watching HD videos is easier, as well. I also noticed the speed, while browsing the web. I guess everything just varies on the system and internet connection.

  • i like google chrome =). i just wish i knew what this guy was saying...

  • I liked chrome and everything.. but why the fuck is it so bad at downloading large files???! My large downloads just get stuck about half way nearly every time.

How you release the 6th version of browser with huge problems like this?

    back to opera...

  • @tedflb ik this sounds terrible.. =[ but do downloads with IE..

  • can chrome possibly get roboform to work on it somehow?

  • I just switched from Firefox to Chrome, it opens faster, it has all the extensions I used on Firefox (Adblock, Youtube Downloader, etc.) and has a less bulky toolbar IMO.

And yes, this guy looks like Neil Patrick Harris.

  • i like how in the backround at 1:45 a guy sits on the ball and just chills there for the rest of the video lol.

  • @jewfrothunder2 right when i read this i saw him sit on the ball. lol

  • Can someone help me? I used to be able to use Google Chrome but now there's only a blank page when I use chrome, nothing loads. How do i fix this?

  • I didn't know a youtube video could go 16 min.'s long...

Btw, if those words he's using (And are written in subtitles) are English, then I never learned English when I've lived in America my whole life... Holy crap, almost none of that made any sense!!

  • @Tuth9 It's all IT talk, I'm glad I can comprehend it as a 17 year old, since this is the future.. many of my peers are clueless.

  • "SR Ware Iron" Chrome codes without privacy loss !!!

    I really recommend it! :)

  • How come Google can upload more than 10 minutes videos on Youtube?! Oh wait...

  • funny how transcribe captions works perfectly on google vids but suck on real vids

  • @CallingOfTheTiger these are different

  • Firefox.

  • @scheisse111 no it's not, i'm using Google chrome now!

  • @scheisse111 lol u must have gotten a link from some sly site and sent u to some fake site. or just trolling

  • @scheisse111 You're a moron.

  • love that the guy in the background is sitting on that big blue ball

  • But who cares about Google anyway? The company has only one look for christ's sake! Chrome, Wave, Le Tigre, they're the same project! Doesn't anyone notice this?! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here!

  • @SuperMajestic12 Ha ha ha zoolander, but they are all amazing products. ^_^

  • Random chick in the background. Chrome is my life.

  • The subtitle says 'DC process', I supposed he means 'GC pauses???' (Garbage Collector's pause time)

  • Im leaveing ENTERNET Exploersxzzzzza Its giveing me Virises. Time for Chrome.

  • @fredrick300

internet explorer is one of the weakest

    internet browser i use

  • I used FireFox and was loyal to it, but it was being gay today so I decided to try GC and I personally think it is faster and I like the design/layout of it :D:D

  • Ps: What is that woman behind him on that blue seat doing?!

  • cool

    i love gogle it rocks

  • I think Adobe should make a browser.

  • @superchase2

Hmm, why should they... it won't be used, also there will be one more browser to choose from..(People will keep there old browser... Internet Exploder..Or safari... They both suck.)

  • because you lack intelligence..

  • @oscarsanders07 Because you don't have a clue of programming....

  • I believe phones that run on android will be able to run on Chrome OS!!!

    Scott R. Hoffman, Hawaii

  • 9:11

Subtitle says [INDISTINCT], lol. Why couldn't the guy who made the subtitles hear that he clearly says "content"?

  • And someone, please hit the distracting faggot, who literally rode the ball in the background for 15 fucking minutes!!!

  • @MulleDK13 man i lost it when i noticed him lol. thanks for pointing him out lol.

  • I had no idea Neal Patrick Harris knew so much about programming. What a guy! Also, honorable mention for distracting dude on yoga ball!

  • No WOT, no adblock plus!! NO THNKS!

  • thanks for creating google chrome, I am loving every second of browsing in google chrome.

    GOOGLE simply rocks!

  • I'm trying google chrome but it seems to load a bit slower than Safari. Has anyone else noticed this?

  • no i dont

  • can ay one tell me why i cant go on google? or downloa google chromeit sayed cant display web page

  • Google. Simpler answer:Google Chrome is a lighter browser than FireFox and Internet Explorer. (Lighter meaning requires less Processing) JESUS CHRIST GOOGLE, STOP CONFUSING PEOPLE.

  • or maybe you should A. stop viewing things that are beyond your comprehension and then complaining about it or B. go to school, and get some knowledges and informations and whatnot and then come back here with something useful to say

  • @truenolevinAe86 Maybe you should A. Stop thinking you know what you're talking about B: Stop being a douchebag. maybe you should C: Come back here with something useful to say.

  • Well that was easy to shut you up, usually trolls are hungry for more.

  • i like how you think your such a smartass, and u misspell knowledge with knowledges

  • are you an idiot or something? It's like on Top Gear... "Backing from captain maths"

did you fail to see that i had done the same thing with the word - information?

  • who cares, top gear isnt real life

  • @truenolevinAe86 you realize that, despite their cleverness and undeniable skill, all this video is saying is that the Chrome development team proofread and revised some code to achieve -- sometimes by orders of magnitude -- more efficient executions. Cool, but this isn't a revolution. This is what programmers are expected to do every day.

Mr. Belshe is articulate and well-spoken. I commend him for his skill in delivering somewhat technical content with a diverse target audience.

  • @SuperMajestic12 I love that you are shrugging off man-years of research and original algorithms developed by the team. How is that proofreading and revising?

In any case, I don't believe that this video is trying to brag about Google. I think it's trying to explain the work that has gone into Chrome to give it an advantage.

  • @truenolevinAe86 I get so much knowledges and informations from school. So much knowledges.

  • firefox makes IE look like a pile of trash, I hope you like bugs and malware with your internet, that's all you're going to get when you trust in Microsoft.

  • Microsoft are trying hard, they probably reduced the people working on Internet Explorer and put less skilled people on it because of the market share they already have but now that they are losing more and more market share they will get more skilled people to work on making IE better

  • @PoopNoodleSoup Also incompatible with a lot of established addons like LogMeIn and other remote plugins. So I end up firmly using Firefox and all those addons I've come to LOVE!

  • @PoopNoodleSoup Depends what you like and need. I have been fed up for long with the enormous space toolbars and menu bars take up, even in Firefox (IE is a joke). Chrome just simplified that whole process and it makes browsing on netbooks much handier. At the same time I don't find it fast - I find it lightweight yet sluggish. It starts quick (because it loads it at startup) but general navigation and new tabs feels slow. So it's a plus and a minus.

  • what about that yoga ball guy , what is he talking about?

  • google chrome is fast

when it actually finds the page...

  • Great video. Very informative. TY Google. BTW pronunciation of "Document Object Module" at 0:58 was hard to understand on first view. Again ty for taking time to make this video.

  • I love the random guy on the yoga ball at 1:45

  • Me too!

  • @MrBankRuns Mine doesn't.

  • 'blue screen crash' lols...dont ya mean BSOD?

  • It was because of the multi-process why I changed to Google chrome, I used Firefox and the darn plug-ins kept it crashing and that causes to lose everything unlike Google Chrome. But still I miss some features in Firefox that were useful for developing.

  • Audio out of sync for anyone else?

    But, Chrome ftw.

  • Chrome will you MARRY ME!?!?!?

  • I think I should go on a pilgrimage to Mozilla base and Google and just never come back... I would love to be able to call this guy my sensei!

  • he's not only a genius, he's also prrretty

  • for those who want to comment saying this will that chrome sucks or another one is better, please stop,if you want to say that do it somewhere else, because no-one who would be watching this will agree with you. The commenting feature in youtube is made so you can speak your opinion on the video and how it was made, perhaps ask the poster questions, not to discus your opinion, if you want to do that, go to a message board on the topic. Sorry, it just bug me.Thanks

  • google chrome does not give me viruses when i watch porn!!!. way to go guys chrome all the way 10/10

  • No it's not.

  • for me it takes a sec to the full page to "paint" but after that is fast.

  • Really interesting thanks!

  • are you using vista?

  • are you using vista? im using windows 7 and i have only had it crash once after 4 monthes

  • @Hamish500000 It crashes a lot for me, (a lot is only once a week or so) but i'm using Linux and it's not ready for it yet so it's the Dev channel, make sure you're using the stable channel!

  • @ribbitwho what do you mean by using the Stable channel? ;o

  • no.

  • This isn't not not not not not not not not not first.
