  • Ahh, me and my friends used to do this all the time... I miss being in a mokoro, cant wait to visit home again in december!!

  • We are learning this as a case study in geography :P as part of a river landform.

  • I traveled the many channels of Okavango Delta in the early seventies for a UN project and camped at various spots back when tourism was still at its infancy. It seems your experience is similar as the video shows nothing much has changed in the delta.

  • There are some changes which are underway now. They are somewhat"unionized" and require a guide and paddler to accompany tourists who want to travel up the delta. Secondly, they have replaced most sausagewood dug-outs with aluminum watercraft at the insistence of environmentalists. There are obvious other reasons to do so like aluminum is lighter and has a much longer life.
