i also had a 84' b2000 sundowner sport only advantage was it had a rotary in it .and could also burn em in all 5 gears and blow almost anything off the line and was all stock.and was clocked at 108
I have four of these trucks and with a 75 hp motor you are doing good to keep up much less pass that truck. if you want more power open up the exhaust and jet the carb a little bit more and play with the timing some it makes a big differance in how they run down the road. My long bed truck has over 220000 on it and hauls ass on top end and pulls hard and still gets 28 to 30 mpg. Have fun and don't let all that power get away from you. LOL
@TheVOLKSMAN2275 Could you explain : " if you want more power open up the exhaust and jet the carb "
I got a 84 b2000, the most I have gotton is 65. Thats on a straight away. Up a good hill and I am down shifting to
second or third. I replaced the timmng chain and the pointer that shows the timming marks got bent. Not sure as to how to fix that, seems everyone I have asked does not know either. But its close.

That was funny, and reminds me of the time I eventually got my 84 B2000 up to its top speed of 85 mph on I80.
All my passengers were cautioned about the neck snapping acceleration of the mighty B2000. :)
Then again, they were under $6K brand new out the door.
