Would be nice if they actually simulated it to a real Javelin missile launcher, which doesn't fire the missile 20 metres before the missile takes off...
i think it's a WIP, probably testing it to make sure everything works before he hands it over to the devs to decide whether it willa ctually go into the mod or not.
although i want it, probably not, there will be alot of gameplay issues with it.
@Hairysteed personnally i think the hats rite now in PR are stupid they are exactly like vanilla but with a stupidly long load animation and more powerful rocket and thats it i think it needs a bit of a overhaul, i think this system would work if it took longer to fire and that if the tank or apc launches smoke it should disrupt the lock and retreat backwards, and obviously ontop of the load time have to wait for a clear lock on the target

The only thing, I've been told by a RL javelin operator that you need to maintain the 'lock' is there any way to get the thing to break lock if you don't keep looking at the target?
Maintain lock till when? You shoot the missile and that's it. If you look at the target for 1 second and turn away then no the missile won't track if that's what you mean (00:07 - 00:09).
It actually has a small explosive propel it out of the tube, in which case it drops quite quickly and flies on a more horizontal plane than vertical. Then, the thrust kicks in and actually gets it to fly upwards.

in real javelin in day mode working only DAY FOV (day indactor) WFOV and NFOV working only in FLIR (night) mode
after seeker activation working only MISSILE FOV (seek indactor)

It should the aimpoint even when its not locked. At least i think so. Maybe a other locksound?
