Even if some terms made me wonder «illuminate», «lanterns», «endgame». 2012 is coming up and it has an impact on culture in general. They seems to be talking about the second coming not happening but it's hard to interpret all the lyrics.

To be honest, if we are going down (and I really don't know about it), I don't mind all that much. I feel we deserve to go down as humans, but I am drepress so....

I'm glad Endgame didn't turn out to be another Appeal to Reason, even though I did like that album, it's just that I didn't want them to do it again... Anyway, I like it pretty well. But the punk kind got completely stripped away, just leaving rock. Still good, though. :)

I know! I don't really like any of the bands you just listed (but hey, it's all cool cause you seem to like Rise Against almost as much as me) , except Billy Talent. But the bands I do listen to just aren't nearly as inspiring and thought-provoking as Rise Against. And their sound is just mesmerizing and like no other. I have spent so much time searching for similar bands and have come up empty.

These independent record stores are making no money because dumb asses go to the digital websites (that are in no way possible affiliated with record stores) and consume. They physical is much better. People work really hard on album art and detail on the booklets to make these albums. Etc.. etc.

True but appeal to reason was a little dissapointing. IT was still a good album and by no means a bad album but it sounded like they turned soft. This album brought back much of the energy from their older albums with the appeal to reason sound. The result was awesome and this track is too good to be just an itunes track -_-

@sandrapalmieri I don't know much about Rise Against,since I recently discovered its awesomeness and have only heard songs from Endgame and appeal to Reason,but in my opinion,Appeal to Reason has the best songs. Did their style change in Appeal to Reason? cuz it seems nearly the same in Endgame. Plus,the best songs like The Dirt Whispered,Savior,Kotov Syndrome and Historia Calamitatum are all on Appeal to Reason.

@JD211Films their style changed A LOT! in they're albums like the unravelling and revoloutions per minute they were very hardcore punk style. siren song was a little less hardcore, sufferer and the witness was more melodic than hardcore. then appeal to reason kinda went half time with the drumming and they werent punky that much anymore. still good though :D i agree that dirt whispered and kotov syndrome are great songs on atr, cant really decide if i prefer atr or endgame though.

PLEASE listen to REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE. EVERYBODY agrees that it's the BEST Rise Against album. please check out HEAVEN KNOWS, BLOOD RED WHITE AND BLUE, BLACK MASKS AND GASOLINE, TORCHES. Rise changed for the WORST with Appeal. I just hope you really like RPM. torrent that album or look up the track list and listen to EVERY song. Unless you are a mainstream savior bandwagon "fan," you will LOVE that album.
