Yes Iran beated Saudi 3-0 It is a big win, but they met again in half-final and Saudi beated Iran.. The Saudi moved to the final & beated UAE then won the CUP.. It is a bit strange tournament.
The semi-final was a joke. The ref nullified many Iranian goals and was not calling any fouls. He was horrible and everyone who saw the match knew it. Even the Saudis were saying the ref was biased against Iran.
First of all the refereee was Egyptian, not Kuwaiti. Second, most Arabs hate Saudi Arabia (racism, jealousy, sectarianism, etc.). The only Arabs that are friendly to Saudi Arabia are the Gulf countries like Kuwait and UAE, but even then it's not guaranteed. A Shi'a ref from Bahrain or Kuwait will probably prefer Iran to KSA.
FIFA wrongly assumes that Arab nations have refs who can judge the games without taking race into consideration. I have seen the bias against us more than often when there is an Arab ref. I am very excited about this Saturday game too, because Saudi Arabia and Iran are quite better than other teams in this group. The good thing is that both teams will have chance to qualify regardless of the result of this Saturday game.
