Pavlik suprises me. He doesn't look like much but he gets the job done. Every fighter has their pros and cons. I think Pavlik's pros outweigh his cons. Not every fighter needs to be light on his feet to win. He's got a devastating punch and will knock you the f**k out if your not careful.

Joe Calzaghe has told Setanta Sports News that he is not interested in a future bout with Roy Jones Jr., admitting that he would prefer to fight the victor of next month's rematch between Kelly Pavlik and Jermain Taylor instead.

Pavlik suprises me. He doesn't look like much but he gets the job done. Every fighter has their pros and cons. I think Pavlik's pros outweigh his cons. Not every fighter needs to be light on his feet to win. He's got a devastating punch and will knock you the f**k out if your not careful.

that right hand is fucking LETHAL... that straight right is the most powerful since tommy heanrns... that being said, pavlik is very stationary, not SLOW, but not very fleet or hand and foot... decent boxing skills, but everything starts with the feet and moves up... pavlik has no feet.... i love pavlik, but you can only rely on that double jab, straight right for so long... chin, heart, stamina, EVERYTHING IS THERE for pavlik.. just needs to get some mobility!

The second fighter has a longer arm reach than Kelly even though Kelly is quite a bit taller. You see this all the time in fighter stats when blacks and whites are paired for a fight. It's probably because humans in Africa were the direct decendants of apes so their bones more closely resemable apes. But the actual skin color of black people is an example of evolution, it's protection against the sun so we never get sun burns. So it kind of condradicts to say blacks are more primitive while the skin color black is the more evolved skin color.

the fact is kelly pavlik is a good solid world champion, with a devastating right hand, i love watching him knock people out. his first loss was against a legend in b-hop, give the man a break.
anyone that feels the need to make boxing a race issue is missing the point. when you're in the ring your skin color doesn't make a difference. your skill, speed, power, desire and intelligence that makes you a champion. i believe that to be a better fighter he'll need a new trainer though.

Kelly Pavlik has been one of the most overrated fighters to come along in a few decades. Klan folks rated him so highly because he was white. he got lucky in the first fight with Taylor, and actually lost the second fight. B-hop exposed his ass! Are you afraid of ghosts? B-hop sure aint. yea, havin kelly fight hopkins is like havin a ten year old girl fight a sumo wrestler. Huge size difference. Calzaghe is a beast too. Best light heavy weight of all times. Even old calzaghe would have beaten prime jones and young calzhage would have killed. Calzhage is the GOAT in my book. Screw sugar ray, ali, and joe louis. Hell, an old schmelling beat him one of two times. He was way past his prime. He's the better of the 2 if you ask me.

You say Hopkins lost the fight in every major network, the Associated press, Yahoo, and ESPN all had Hopkins winning that fight, then you say it wasn't controversal? So agian, a controversal loss for 43 year old Hopkins is obviously a win for prime Hopkins, especialy when the loss is due to productivty with we obviously would have saw more of from prime Hopkins. If either of the fights took place in the 90's Cal Slappy would have been exposed, but they didn't happen until Cal Slappy knew they were past there prime becuase he's terrified of getting a loss on his reocord, thats why he's not fighting Hopkins agian becuase Hopkins had a good showing of productivity in the Pavlik fight, Cal Slappy knows he won the last fight from productivity, so he's gonna sit back and not take a chance and keep Hopkins name on his record along with Jones.

I agree, I actualy think Pavlik is more suited to fight Calzaghe then Jones or Hopkins, if Calzaghe starts a pitter patter flurry Pavlik would sneak a hard right in there, I also think if he got Calzaghe in trouble he's a guy that will capitalize, Hopkins and Jones had him in trouble early but they didn't keep the pressure on, and thats when Calzaghe started taking rounds with productivity. Pavlik at the age of 26 has fought way better fighters than Calzaghe has. When Calzaghe was 26, can you name one decent fighter he threw gloves with?? I cant either.
