thanks to u ill add my ipad to my s4 and midi fighter setup, check out the midi fighter if you dont know what it is, you might like it. Is that mapping the one from Ean Golden? or is it one you modified?

@qFr4nkp Yeah, I know about the midi fighter and I'm a member of the DJTT community. As for the mapping, it's one I created which isn't error proof, mainly because you can't have a user mapping that can replicate what's going on the hardware/software. The embedded mapping uses layers you don't have access too and that you can't replicate with the mapping tools at your disposal.

I find your mapping of your S4 very interesting, you're getting some super cool FX out of it. I would like to ask if you'd share your mapping (via export), but not sure of the appropriateness of that. I understand if you want to guard that stuff. Just wanted to play around with it on my S4 and see what I can learn from it, other than the default settings. Anyway, sweet mix - I'm still fascinated with TouchOSC as an enhancement to a set - great use of it!

j'utilise la commande led output 'beat phase monitor', ça sert à faire joli et plus sérieusement ça m'indique une fonction spécifique intégrée soit en 'group' mode, soit une alerte sur le bouton reset en mode single/advanced.

^^ the very simple editing software I have for video doesn't allow me to do that. But yeah I know.

At 5:44 it's a beatmasher + transpose stretch effects, I increase the value of the beatmasher (from 50% to 90%) while the transpose stretch's value decreases (roughly from 90% to 0%).

Would you recommend the S4 for a complete novice who wants to get into DJing?

If you have the budget and that pleases you, yes why not, it's a very good product. Do you need it to start, no. Will you use all the features, probably not either. I tend to recommend a 2 channel controller within a lower budget, learn from that, see if that's something you're serious about it and eventually resell/update/change later. What do you think?

@DtotheN You're welcome. As a note, you probably should decide what's the software that most fits you. Traktor is more advanced an can be as deep as you want it to be (sometimes with some hassle). Itch is more 'to the point', it's simple without being simplistic, and with the coming update it seems it has a lot of fun features. May be you should think about that first.

The first effect you used on the jog wheel for deck A was army's "woosh" super combo right? Did you lose the ability to use the jog wheel when not depressed? I'd love to know if you would share some stuff you did on those jogs...

the function of the jog depends on the load button active or not as set up in the S4's options within the preferences. I added a twist so it activates other FX than the third. Check my other videos I probably put a link somewhere to DJ techtools related to that imperfect solution.

I suggest to have a look at either Ipad-dj or at digitaldjtools (google the sites, I can't put a link here) to get a template that would suit you best and work upon that. I'm currently working on mine and I'm not sure what I will keep or drop.
