  • really interesting. what's the tone system? i've been thinking of doing one but having trouble not copying a tone system I'm already familiar with.

  • Finally, a conlang which isn`t similar to any existing language.

  • oh and btw, why not use a voiced dorsal frictative for the growling sound? the velar or the uvular would be best in my opinion to make a 'growl' sound, but the voiced palatal fricative could also work...

  • you told me about over on the conlang forums when i asked about polysynthetic languages, but i didnt actually search for it, your vid came up on the side while i was looking up recordings of random conlangs i found on here.

i'm on a different conlang project now though (i havent returned to the forums bc i got fed up with the krov troll harrassing me, who btw found me on here and tried to harrass me until i blocked him). i might post it up here, if i can get a working microphone.

  • From conglanger to fellow conlanger; that is so cool and talented! Keep up the good work!

  • Haha! Awesome. I'm a member of the ZBB (Skomakar'n), so I've know about Feayran for very long. It surprised me to see it as I was browsing through videos of conlangs. Nice to finally hear the sound of it! Hello, Trailsend!

  • It sounds like an asian language.

  • Ifyn-i, banw kimyn-a leteym dwnw lei poira. ("I think your language is beautiful.")

  • Anokailme verush Kimotuaianoi vuuriunvoeo, vai vuuriurrua! :P (The human speaking Feayran cannot be in the leading stance, I will have to make him take it!) He keeps forgetting to stay in stance. <_<

  • i went to ur feayran site but whenever i checked out the greetings...another window repeatedly poppped up with '4' in it.....idk

  • Really? ...That's not good. I'm having trouble reproducing the problem, though--do you mind if I ask what browser you're using? Which link did you follow to get to the Greetings page?

Hey, thanks for checking out the website! I really appreciate the interest.

  • i use safari on a mac...i simply clicked the greeting link on teh leftside of the page...it occurs no matter what page i was on before...

pretty cool conlang btw: sounds japanese-ish imo i'm planning to make a lil fantasy story and i'm making a languaeg for spells (geekish nerd ain't i lol)

  • How weird. A friend of mine who uses safari hasn't reported any problems with it, so it doesn't seem like it's the browser...I have no idea! Sorry--I'll ask around and see if I can get it fixed.

Yeah, a few people have mentioned that it sounds like Japanese. It uses their same vowel system, but it has a lot more consonants than they do.

:D Cool! You should definitely share some samples, either in a video or over PM. (Or as a comment here, I suppose :P )

  • it sounds beautiful =)

  • It sounds amazing!

You seem to use 's', 'sh' and 'k' a lot (not a criticism, just an observation).

  • It sounds like Hebrew. Very beautiful.

  • this sounds nice i like this language

  • Did you have some influences in making the language?

  • The vocabulary is all a priori, so the words themselves aren't based on any existing languages. The phonology borrows a lot from Spanish; in terms of grammar, I took some of the ideas for noun cases from Latin and Finnish, and some of the verb functions were inspired by Japanese. :) The inflectional system loosely resembles that used by Arabic and Hebrew.

    :)

  • It actually reminds me of some Native American languages.

  • Update FeayranLang, and don't forget it!
