  • The conservative parties around the globe are trying to equalize your wages to China's.

  • It's fine to say "each person should look after themselves" but when the game is rigged and your entire lifes savings disappears overnight ... stolen by the Elite and the Banksters ... then something has got to give. You basically have to assume the "screw everyone else" attitude in Canada now if you want to truly get ahead and become financially independant. Something has gone very wrong in this country and it starts & ends with criminal Elite Banksters

  • Canada is not a very good country, they just torture you continously over personal vendettas, it is very painful and often they only do it for fun.

  • IF THE GOVERNMENT WANT TO STOP THE STRIKE, THAT MEANS THEY ACCEPT ALL NEGOTIATION BETWEEN US AND THE AIR CANADA MANAGEMENT AND THEY OFFER US EVERYTHING WE ASK .

In this case no need STRIKE and NEGOTIATION.

  • Yep, It's Fascism all right.

  • The undefined pension plans are nothing less than a money tree for the banks and wallstreet to crash the market every ten years or so and pluck the fruit from the tree. Why they can get away with this is because they have changed the laws to allow them to control the politicians money and fear. The defined pension plans were created, supported and instituted by the people through the voting system, that corporations have worked tirelessly to corrupt and change for the benifit of the few.

  • "Ideology of personal responsibilities..." Is that the one where your money wouldn't be herded into corporate coffers or the stock market? Is that the one where workers could develop retirement plans that rely on each other and their institutions? Jim would rather workers stay yoked to corporations. Workers need to develop their own welfare institutions sans government & corporations. For that they need an "Ideology of personal responsibility."

  • @rctube1958 Get the fuck out of it. You low IQ types are all the same.

  • @nilbud Wow. I never looked at it that way. You must be right.

  • We Canadians were stupid enough to vote for conservatives and we deserve this. Did we not know that this was coming: big businesses, millions in arms instead of healthcare, foreign bases ...

  • @azharaliahmed vote for the ND party next time.

  • Is it just me or does this guy being interviewed look like he has the head of a midget? lol. Sorry for the stupid comment it just struck me as funny.

  • they are taking away workers rights

  • What is shameful is when people become so dependent on government and corporations to hold their hand and care for them until and beyond the grave. I find this a truly pathetic way to live and can't imagine subjecting myself to dependence on anyone or anything to such a ridiculous level. People like this need to grow up and learn to take care of themselves (and their families as well).

  • @MetalConfuscation And that's the same argument Harper is going to make when he moves to demolish unions, eliminate social programs, and deregulate corporations and the banking sector so he and his rich buddies can make more profits. He would love to drag us back to 1900. Oh people "took care of themselves" back then alright - and died in droves from Typhus, put in 16 hour days, and mostly lived in filthy slums or equally filthy backwoods farms. No promised land.

  • Remember when the Conservatives claimed to NOT want to interfere with private business?

  • has anyone else's subscibtion page been turned suddenly upside down? as in most recent at the bottom instead of the top?

  • @357mes No.

  • @357mes yup

  • Resource scarcity+population growth+unstable financial system = not so bright future

  • @GohanMH1 "Resource scarcity"

competition & ownership are the problems.

Increasing turnover reduces price, but it also cuts profit per item.

Saturation & cutting wages shrinks markets, 'competitive' margins get smaller.

    investments rise.

    Capitals get bigger.

Biggest Companies hold back better solutions in attempts not to loose huge investment, power & income.

ie oil vs. green energy, environment & humanity.

Capitalism's ranting lobbies trash our sustainability society & economy.

  • @marsCubed

how is ownership a problem? do you mean concentrated ownership? are you for collectivization of property? I am not.

Are you saying that cutting wages shrink markets because of lack of purchasing power? Saturation I do understand.

I am for future with less people so we can decentralize production and energy management.

  • @GohanMH1 Not only the monopolization of capital, the reason it's accumulated.

Refusing to compete in a rat race & into low wage is a challenge to ownership.

Property is being able to tell someone where to go & what to do (work). Everywhere people are beginning to just say no.. they want to keep working and creating.. just not to wreck each other or the planet.

cooperatively & democratically. boss don't like it, he/she can take a hike.

so yeah, it is about property fundamentally & who decides.
