  • ey I am always in the mood for some fun

  • also i will make you doing things that you never thought that you will do

  • i <3 Züge =D

  • check also this awesome train Vid(BR 18 478 u. BR 01 2066):

    watch?v=u16NjgTsc4g

  • Why am I watching this?

  • Thank you for uploading. I have been looking for this video for years!

  • No graffitti on the freight cars and the road traffic is zipping along. Welcome to Deutschland.

  • hi please add my channel :)

  • I love how the electric freight train works they should have 4 lanes of tracks, 2 for dedicated high speed passenger trains, and the other 2 for dedidacet tracks for electrified freights trains.

  • Great vid nice edit!

  • The "TRAXX" enginees are in traffic in almost whole europe, I like them and they are really strong.

  • @aaron51226 Thats why I'm watching them train videos too. LoL My son is 3 and absolutely loves trains!

  • electric fright train cool, I wander if they would have a High speed freight train in the future traveling at least 110 MPH

  • @sideslide23 we have freight trains that can do 160km/h for over 10 years now. I have seen the first freight car certified for 160km/h in 1998. The point that you almost never see these in action are that the cars are very expensive to rent!

  • Rhinaland?

the rhineland is cologne and düsseldorg and here are NO mountains!

  • You are wrong, the Rheinland is also Mainz, Ludwigshafen, Koblenz, Bonn, Emmerich . Habe a look at a map.

  • How many freights a day on this line?

  • depends on the day, but I estimate around 50 a day (within 24 hours). Additionally there are 4 passenger trains per hour.

  • Is this a lot of freight trains for Germany? Do most lines see freight trains?

  • this is one of the most-frequented railroad line in Germany resp.Europe. But most lines have freight traffic.

  • @bnsfMAN93 On the line Hamburg - Hannover there are traveling more than 200 freight trains a day ... + regional trains and ICEs....

  • 5 stars!

I'm surprised the number of freight trains, by that line no ICE???

    greetings

  • no, they only run on the left bank line, not on the right.

  • Comment removed

  • @argenvia There is a seperate ICE track from Köln to Frankfurt

  • Good Stuff!! Beautiful track work means smoother running trains, and that means an efficient service! Just the way God intended!

  • Whats the country of the River Rhine?

    This video is awsome!!!

  • Germany

  • I love this video. There's a lot of action. I noticed that there is always only one engine in the train. European engines must be more powerful than American. Is this so?

  • thanks!

yes, you´re correct. Electrics are much more powerful than diesels, starting at around 5000 HP and going up to more tham 10 000.

  • Sometimes. But european trains are much shorter than amerian trains, so they only need one engine.

  • Often, but not always. The really long trains use the SA3 coupling or the European version of it, they can be substantially longer, the maximum trailing capacity is more than doubled. Especially ore and coal trains can have several engines and possible pushers at the end.

  • @cobalt100

    Doubt that.

Freight trains here in Europe are shorter than the ones in North America:)

  • Br 189 forever the best =)

  • what is the point in this video?

  • european freight cars are so different from american freight cars and also very interesting!

  • funny you posted that i was going to say the same thing and then i saw yours. i always say if american could put the same ideas into european freight they would run alot better and faster but American freight is low quality. sometimes i think its because the US is too big to put the time in for better quality freight equipment.

  • i think the problem is america is very dependent on trucks for freight delivery. trains probably work better in europe because european cities have denser populations and are not as spread out as the cities in america. european trains only have to deliver to major cities, where americans have to deliver to major cities and then the outwards into the urban sprawl.

  • hach... das schreien der DB Br. 189 045-8, geil... ich liebe diese lok...

  • yes, that´s a German made Bombardier TRAXX locomotive.

  • which of the trains?

In general the answer is Yes.

  • What a awesome landscape! (no really) XD

  • Yeah its a good landscape if you like slow mode.

  • i do not understand the couplers on the european trains,i understand U.S. trains, but how do they stay connected rounding a corner, wouldent the couplers hit and push the wheels off the track?

  • no, they´re equipped with springs and get "squeezed" in corners. Also, they are not very tight coupled (there´s alsways a gap between the buffers when the train is in motion).

The heavier ore trains however have an automatic coupling.

  • ok,i understand it now,thanks.

  • this sistem is called chain and buffer coupling. See wikipedia for more details.

  • This is one of the biggest problems for European railways. It took a long time to couple a train an you need a lot of workers what makes it expensive. Train weight is also very limited because of this old coupling. There are a few alternativs for example for highspeed trains or for ore trains. But it seems to bee to expensive and to complicated to change the hole system all over Europe.

  • yes but this is the used god sistem. for fright trains the speed of the trains is 80km/h. the fright cars not support much more. So this sistem is good the brake sistem like KE-GPR and knorr tipe is good and very reliable. I live in europe and is this how is it is fantastic.

  • Speed isn't the problem, even for the faster freight trains we have here in Germany. We are using this system for freight trains with speed up to 120 km/h or sometimes 160 km/h. Where are you from? 80 km/h sounds a bit slow for me. The biggest problem is the weight of the trains. For some of the routes over the alps you need to split up trains because of the coupling.

  • Im from romania. Here the rail company was split to other little companyes. The cars are not realy maintained corespondantly and some cars it take the 100km speed on many can broke down the axles. recently bin buld a test track near faurei and is a track for fright train testing what can suport speed to 80km/h how i heard. on some portions the speed is around 40km/h

  • A lot of times RE482! well done

    5*****

  • wow an alp46 pulling freight cars nice!! here in the united states. nj transit uses them for commuter trains that run into NYC everyday

  • no,that´s not exactly a ALP46, just looks similar.

The ALP46´s are quite similar to the german class 101 which only pulls fast trains.

  • Great enviromental freight engines over in the UK right?

  • sorry meant german

  • ...interesting freight cars...

  • Klasse Video, i love river Rhine, Königswinter/Drachenfels and Linz ;)

  • omg trains wow! best 4 mins of my life

  • yeah i can feel the magic too

  • In the coming months, I will be uploading some of my train videos of Australia.

Keep an eye out for them !!!!!!

  • If I ever put together a European model train layout I'm going to use this video as a guide. Great shots. I could-- and have-- listened to trains passing all day and all night long. Thanks from a "rail head".

  • I'm surprised that one engine can pull all that!

  • well, you have to consider that electric locomotives are much more powerful than diesels. One of these has about 7000-10000 HP.

  • where was this when you filmed the trains very cool, im going to make a model it will be las vegas the theme

  • very nice video, but i would of liked to see a couple ge's such as a GE Evolution Series (ES) E 44000 AC Traction Motors with the coommon flared radaditors intoduces in 2004. or maybe a more classic EMD ( electric motive divisoN) SD70MAc with DC motors and the original and classic EMD paint schemes.

  • Very cool. Thanks!

  • that train is soo frigin long lol

  • There wont be a good night sleep if this comes every night and day !!

  • Actually, there are many trains night and day (especially freight trains), since this is one of the most frequented railway line in entire Europe!

  • Nice mix of trains i like it how they arent from this country (UK) for once

  • couldn`t we liven things up a bit in the rhineland with a derailment caught on camera!

  • I have a derailment video (not live of course!) in Northern Germany where a passenger train hit a freight train:
