It could be another crew member though. It even looks like Grant is looking directly at him and then quickly looks away when the camera is back on him. It would be cool to contact TAPS if you could to find out more.

Our brains want to see faces in random patterns. Wouldn't it be silly to look up at the clouds and get excited everytime you see a face up there? This is the same technique your brain uses to make faces out of video recordings. Do a little experimenting-you will see that most recordings of "ghosts"occur in areas with background noise, either trees, bushes, wood grain, light and shadow, etc. Rarely do they show up against a plain backdrop.

in all seriousness i saw the same thing when it aired. i thought it was one of the camera guys who got in the way of the shot. but i also thought it was a mannequin because there some in a few of the cells down that block. besides jay and grant are always on their own doing their thing whilst the rest of the team is off doing their thing. so i don't think that being was part of the team at all either way. i'm glad someone else saw and posted this. great catch!
It doesn't say where they are investigating. That plays a huge part in the "so called" image. I saw what the owner of this video was saying BUT it looks like an engraving in the wall or a decoration to me or maybe even photo shopped in. I am an investigator myself & I can honestly say 90% of claims are explainable by natural means vs. supernatural. Every ONCE in a while you get something UNexplainable. Even then you have to ? the validity because it could just means you didn't catch it.
honestly, I think anything that you catch, no matter how clear it seems to be, will always be unexplainable and under fire for being fraud. It's people's natural reaction to that which we don't understand. Good job for pushing the comfort zones though and questioning every step of the way.

I watched this episode of TAPS right now. Season 1 ep. 5 after the investigation. I didn't see it at first. I paused the dvd, brightened it and zoomed it. Duuuuuude, freaky! I wonder what else TAPS has missed. I have heard other EVPs not mentioned during the show. Just have to keep watching.

it could be anything. it might be someone behind them recording the sound for the show or even a camera guy. w'ell never know but i'd say if it want mentioned on the show then it either wasnt seen or it was a person.
your eyes is triggered by your mind to recognize a face instantly. you see faces everyday and remember faces the next day even when you dont think about it. this is true and you cant prove my statement wrong. you can easily see faces in the clouds, in the trees, in your finger prints(<--sarcastic). two dots a nose, and a mouth in that order.
its just common knowledge, but there is a study relating on how your memory works, even in history books. i cant give you my direct studies or links, but its just true how people are so blind to the facts, and want to believe something to comfort them. the reason is b cuz most of these people are in stress, and want to accept comfort and not true happiness. there mind is open to just about anything. if you think wisely, you can base extra ordinary conflicts and see the truth with your knowledge

Fantastic explanation, Ebsteins, really. I agree, but I'll use the layman's term and say it was probably matrixing. When I do the rounds on these spooky youtube videos, that's what it is about 50% of the time (not including the vast amount of faked material).
I'd be interested to know what you think about the guy who says he caught a ghost in his shower. He seemed genuinely freaked out, but the quality of the image seemed rather Mabel-esque which makes me lean towards a forgery.
Its simply damage to the interior wall causing reflective light anomaly. Anthropromorphism dictates that we, as humans, will make faces and forms out of the most benign of shapes! Scopemorphic tendency to unwittingly create a vision that is completely different from that which is, actually, observed; for example, you could be walking through a darkened park, and see what is obviously a dustbin, but your brain may create an alternative image that may represent a threat or danger! This is common!
The quality is really bad. You can't film something with your camera from the TV and then post it online if you want the best quality. You should record it on a DVD, upload it to your computer, and then post it on Youtube so that the image of the face looks clearer. :-)

it could be anything. it might be someone behind them recording the sound for the show or even a camera guy. w'ell never know but i'd say if it want mentioned on the show then it either wasnt seen or it was a person.

your eyes is triggered by your mind to recognize a face instantly. you see faces everyday and remember faces the next day even when you dont think about it. this is true and you cant prove my statement wrong. you can easily see faces in the clouds, in the trees, in your finger prints(<--sarcastic). two dots a nose, and a mouth in that order.

its just common knowledge, but there is a study relating on how your memory works, even in history books. i cant give you my direct studies or links, but its just true how people are so blind to the facts, and want to believe something to comfort them. the reason is b cuz most of these people are in stress, and want to accept comfort and not true happiness. there mind is open to just about anything. if you think wisely, you can base extra ordinary conflicts and see the truth with your knowledge

@bigvato01 There have been numerous studies conducted on this subject. You can google " face reconition studies", and a ton of articles pop up about the studies themselves and the conclusions they came too. Its a really interesting subject to read about. Hope that helps. :)

All views are valid...but the nightmare scerario whereby our human minds, regardless of physiological accouterments, may simply be incapable of perceiving (intrinsically or via constructed technologies or calculus) the minutiae of the tiniest particles, and all that this stands for!
Does an amoeba consider the essence of that 747 flying noisily overhead? The 747 is there, but perhaps this poor organism simply isn't meant to perceive it's magnificence!

The physics pertaining to the smallest of particles, is principally a mathematical linquistic affair (maths is a language afterall) and attemps to calculate the tri/multi-dimentional 'behaviour' of these particles, using the medium of our present information-gathering-technologies, and, in relation to my comments as regards our human brains', all this is (our brain I say) is a biological-information-gathering piece of Darwinian technology! And, as with all technologies, it too can be duped!!

I received a rather angry message a little while ago, by someone whom considered my views as b.s (well both US and UK citizens are free to express themselves) and thats fine...but the divinity of quantum physics was then thrown into the arguement, and thats fine too of course, but even our Prof S.Hawkins in Cambridge has recognised that these con-artists and charlatans whom call themselves 'Mediums' (I know how cold reading works by the way) have jumped on the band-wagon here!

Your point as regards matrixing is, in fact, a far better explanation than mine, given that we are all 'viewing' this through the medium of the digital camera! I mwan, all this orb business; my mind simply tells me its reflected dust et al, but other say its a spirit! I'm sorry about the language, but when trying to describe anything involving 'physics' and 'mind's interpretation/misinterpretation' of the image that someone might actaully be looking at, it is truly amazing at how ofter the brain 'gets it wrong'!
I am absolutely passionate about the human brain, and its neurological sensory abilities!

Fantastic explanation, Ebsteins, really. I agree, but I'll use the layman's term and say it was probably matrixing. When I do the rounds on these spooky youtube videos, that's what it is about 50% of the time (not including the vast amount of faked material).
I'd be interested to know what you think about the guy who says he caught a ghost in his shower. He seemed genuinely freaked out, but the quality of the image seemed rather Mabel-esque which makes me lean towards a forgery.

Its simply damage to the interior wall causing reflective light anomaly. Anthropromorphism dictates that we, as humans, will make faces and forms out of the most benign of shapes! Scopemorphic tendency to unwittingly create a vision that is completely different from that which is, actually, observed; for example, you could be walking through a darkened park, and see what is obviously a dustbin, but your brain may create an alternative image that may represent a threat or danger! This is common!

The quality is really bad. You can't film something with your camera from the TV and then post it online if you want the best quality. You should record it on a DVD, upload it to your computer, and then post it on Youtube so that the image of the face looks clearer. :-)
