  • good job ;) my record is 4 min 3 sec it's not that hard as everyone think it is.. you have to breath deep in and out for a few minutes and try it a few times .. the most people can do 2 min or more with this technic

    yes, that's kind of my technique, too

    breath control for about ten minutes inside the water, because you have a slightly higher pressure on your body(and so on your lungs, too) than outside.

    the last to minutes i take deeper breaths with holds between 20 and 30 seconds and then the show begins xD

  • This is easy.. try holding your breath for that long under 10 meter wwater.. you wont last for 30 sec cause of the preasure

  • I wish you will make a new performance, this time without T shirt, so we can better observe your abdomen at work in the diaphtagmtic contractions of the second breath. Indeed you are clever, strong and brave. Go on ! Please don't stop the camera immediately at the end. It will be interesting to look at you recovering.

  • My longest time was 2:50! I just keep practicing every time i get 3-5 seconds better. It also helps if when you take your breath if your chest is above the water when you breathe in.

  • Well, it's much easier to do it on the tub, first and foremost! your body can rest at a lower rate (heart rate) ! in a Pool your body had to fight the urge to float to the surface which increases you heart rate, as a result will consume more oxygen!

  • Very well done! I can only get a little over 3 mintues in the pool...you have great capacity and discipline.

  • there are no ways to change the sise of your lungs but you can learn how to use them better for example with pranayama witch is a type of yoga hwo is focussed on breathing techniques.

    but to stay longer the moste important is to train your body to suport hipoxy.(evry soport but specaly water activitys are god for your stamia)

  • Thanks for the comments guys! Mmm... The water is warm... that helps! It's a lot more difficult if you do it in cold water. It's important to breath very deep during like 4 minutes or more before going inside the water. This would make the body alarms less aware of the increase of co2 in your body so you'll do more time... but don't do this withouth supervision or in the sea, it can be dangerous as you'll feel the need to breath suddenly, so if you're deep in water you won't have time to go out.

  • me too. It rly helps if you listen music, and put the song like there 2,15 left. then focus to the music. :) i got 2.15 like that :P

  • 2:15 is suffering. 2:00 for me is where I start convulsing, last 15 seconds are pure hell. I only do it when really bored. I gotta try 2:30, but that will need a lot of warm up.
