there are no ways to change the sise of your lungs but you can learn how to use them better for example with pranayama witch is a type of yoga hwo is focussed on breathing techniques.
but to stay longer the moste important is to train your body to suport hipoxy.(evry soport but specaly water activitys are god for your stamia)

Thanks for the comments guys! Mmm... The water is warm... that helps! It's a lot more difficult if you do it in cold water. It's important to breath very deep during like 4 minutes or more before going inside the water. This would make the body alarms less aware of the increase of co2 in your body so you'll do more time... but don't do this withouth supervision or in the sea, it can be dangerous as you'll feel the need to breath suddenly, so if you're deep in water you won't have time to go out.
2:15 is suffering. 2:00 for me is where I start convulsing, last 15 seconds are pure hell. I only do it when really bored. I gotta try 2:30, but that will need a lot of warm up.

This is easy.. try holding your breath for that long under 10 meter wwater.. you wont last for 30 sec cause of the preasure
