@Reaper139139 constriction is an instinct that all snakes are born with, hatchling corn snakes hardly ever constrict prey. This amel now is almost 3ft and strikes and constricts every time.

i got like over 100 pinkies to use up lol will start on fuzzys once have used up all pinkies, also doesnt hurt growing a snake up slow and not moving up size as quick as possible :)

Oh, geesh, he's a little kitten. :) He's lazy like my boas. Neither one of them like to strike their food. Clive puts his nose on the mouse's nose and stays like that for a while before he eats it. No constriction at all. This little guy is cute, but I'm in love with your creamsicle. If we lived in the same country, I'd have to steal him. ;)

i didnt hatch it out and i fead it one fuzzie and its small fuzzies and its about 1.5 feet long so yeh its right size for his age

well you think in the ild snakes wont feed every week they are oppertunist (cant spell lol) feeders. in captivity they dont use alot of energy in the wild so every 7days in my opinion and lots of other keepers opinions could be bit to much, whih could result in over weight corns they get overweight really easy

oh he so lovely i have a question

ive set up my incubator to test it as my snake is only a week pregnant (poly box heat mat/stat) the humidity is 92% and the temp goes from 80.5 to 82 is that ok i no incubation temps are 80-88 and im aming for 84-85 but ive only been running the incubator for 3 hours so it may ajust.

sounds fine to me. i think lower temps like that are better for incubation in my opinion, how you no she a week pregnant?

@7lqjah i think she is because last week i saw her and my male corn snake breed and she is a bit fater than usual and her bell ist as flat as it was im not 100% sure but im 95% sure.

@7lqjah ive seen them tail lock 3 times last week the temps have a stabalised now well sice last night and now it flux between 83.5-84 so im happy with thatand humidity is 90% it was 92 yesterday but i kept taking lid of to check temps but im sorting it im putting air holes in the tub today im going to drill 4 3mm holes in so some air can get in and a hole so the thermometer probe can be in the plastic tub so i can see the reading with out taking the tub lid off

that sounds all fine to me when you notice her getting really chunky and eggs are easierly visable give her a place to lay her eggs. you gonna take the male out once you are positive she is gravid right? males wil sometime literally rape the female even when they are gravid.

@7lqjah well they have not bred sine last tuesday that was the last time she bred and they didnt come out there hides since then so i seperated them yesterday night and i whent to check on her today and she was out so it was like they feared each other when they where togever after they bred so now she climing around a bit this morning and last night but when i whent to open viv door today she rose up and made an s shape with her neck so i left her alone i think mabey its her hormones :D

lol ok sounds normal, sometimes they do get tempremental this time of the year. feed her like normal she might refuse a few weeks before laying. keep handling to a minimum when you notice that she is gravid
